Firstly we are using the program and module downloadable from this location: http://www.vassal40k.com/Guide.htm
Please read the guide carefully and do everything it tells you to.

The rulebook is now available at this link.

Format: Free-for-all, random round robin to begin with, ending up in knockout phase.
IRC Channel: #goblet
Plot Synopsis: An ancient relic is known to be buried on the forgotten planet Multi-Class AA 1.45 plural Zeta. Newly found evidence by the Empire has made the relic known to races spread far and wide, however, very little is known about the qualities of fifty thousand year old object itself. Many races have conglomerated in the orbit of MCAA1.45pZ, but due to a strange aura surrounding the planet were unable to fight outside the atmosphere. They have commenced descent through a thick band of clouds clothing the isolated planet, not knowing where they will end up, or next to whom.

Army List Points: 1000 during round robin phase, 1500 for first knockout, +500 every knockout after.

1000 point armies need to be posted before you begin any match.
You may edit your army in the time between playing a match and finding out who you're playing next, so you can't tailor your army to a certain race. This rule will be waived in the last rounds, of course.

Participants:

KinGAleX - Tau
Condog - Chaos Daemons
Kablizzy - Dark Eldar
Communist - Eldar
Luminaflare - Space Marines
FireDevil - Orks
AF - Necrons
lord_day - Tyranids
PALEMOON - Undecided

Round One

PALEMOON - Bye
AF plays lord_day on map 1.
KinGAleX plays Kablizzy on map 3.
Condog plays Communist on map 4.

This round is to be played between the 1st and 11th of December. KA will sit in on each game to make sure everything is running smoothly.
The player mentioned first plays at the top of the map. (Home team rule.)
Victor will be decided by victory points, however, the league table will be scored by a team's total victory points divided by 50, rounded to the nearest integer. So, if for your first match, you scored 500 victory points and your opponent scored 250, you garner 10 league points for this win and your opponent garners 5. Victory points can be found on page 85 of the uploaded rulebook.

Code: Select all

             | P | W | L | F | A | Pts
KinGAleX | 1 | 1 | 0 | 35 | 11 | 35
Kablizzy | 1 | 0 | 1 | 11 | 35 | 11
Condog | 0 | | | | |
Communist | 0 | | | | |
AF | 0 | | | | |

Not only am I all about this shit, but I am all about this shit.

Oh, yeah. I don't much care who I roll with. So long as it's not those fruity Eldar. I suppose if I had a choice, I'd throw down some Orks.

I pick space marines. Also how are we going to play this? You can't play warhammer over webcam too easily and I don't know of any online version of it.

KA's found an online version that might be suitable, but it needs to be tested first.

Luminaflare: Glad to have you on board. Basically, build an army from a codex, legally purchased or otherwise obtained. I've found a simulator for the maps and terrain that multiple people can view over the Internet. Still yet to check it out fully, since I'm at work at the moment, but it looks suitable. I'm tryi g to stay away from too muchreliance on a program, and to keep it mostly user-based. Nothing's concrete at the moment, except that the campaign is named The Plebeian Goblet, and revolves around a multi-race quest for this relic. The IRC channel is #goblet. Hope that helps.

First post mega-updated. Much more information there for anyone currently undecided. Since it starts in a week, I'd really like to get any interest worked out in the next few days. The deadline will be midnight GMT of the 26th of November. Please post if you're interested at all, and join #goblet on the IRC. Talk to me about the rulebook or codices.

Make sure you've got your 1000 point armies posted by the 1st of December, as your first match will be between then and the ten days afterward. Unless we end up with an odd number of players, in which case one will have a bye. I'll be trying to sit in on your match in the first round to make sure everyone's doing it the same way. One more player would be nice, but they'll need to get their name in here in the next twenty-four hours, to give themselves enough time to get what's going on in this campaign and download everything necessary. Please remember to contact me about any codices or the rulebook or anything else you might need. I'd like to see a post from everyone confirming that they're still involved and giving an updated on their progress: if they need anything from me, how far their army list is coming, etc.

PALEMOON, you might want to play an Imperial Guard army, seein's we got nothin' from that area, really.

edit 2: I think I am done if KinGAleX wouldn't mind checking my army.

Hey KA next time you see me on IRC could you message me? I'm really in to Warhammer (40k mostly) but due to complications with my EMA I don't have as much money as I should and therefore can't afford to buy my Warhammer 40k starter set and therefore don't know the rules or how to build an army. I'm really in to these types of games though and I grasp the concepts fairly well I just need a link to an online rule book and some army building tips.

Also I look forward to our battle.

I've gotta edit a couple rules in, but beyond that, I'm done. 1001 point army, and it'll be posted ASAP.

One army list per round as in one during the round robin, one for 1500, one for 2000, etc.

Not one per person you fight. You can't tailor your army to your next battle.

LF, AF, Condog, Communist, and FireDevil, you have about four days to submit your army lists or forfeit your first match. Get on it!

i apologize for the absence but i see i have a Bye anyway so it's not really a problem.

I'll try Imperial Guard, i've never played them and i don't have the codex, but i can 'obtain' one for this tourney, so it'll be all good.

you'll just have to bear with me during games as i'm probably reading the rulebook for these guys >_>
