Tech- I mean, Flight, you forget who the main demographic of these games are. Most players of Halo are 12 years old and heavily butcher the English Language.Flight wrote:D00d, you're birth year is 1994 (which I'm assuming from your name, because assumptions are kewl), making you only 14/15 years old and therefore not old enough to play this game. May I recommend Dora Saves the Mermaids as an alternative?
Damn 12 year olds....
What do you mean "from the beginning". Being only 16, I've never actually played GTA IV, so I don't know if you mean it should have been developed with Multiplayer in mind, or that Multiplayer is downloadable...

After the little single-screen multiplayer bonus mode thing that was seen in San Andreas, I'm surprised that they didn't include a similar feature in IV; 'twould probably have been mucho fun. I'm also disappointed that they didn't include flying car cheats and such - unrealistic, sure, and they may well have wanted to go down a different route for GTA IV, but I feel like it's been sort of a tradition with the 3D GTAs to have wacky cheats to screw around with.

Yeah, RIPAZHA and AGBDLCID were my favs.
Anyway, the only-city-map pretty killed it for me and multiplayer in San Andreas wasn't all that good. It was a great mess.

Fairly sure it's illegal in the UK to play games rated over your age.

I'm not sure if it is, actually... Although it seems that the majority of people in the UK who play this game are under the age anyway.Ackmest Dansam wrote:O_osmartalco wrote:Playing, no; buying, yes.Ackmest Dansam wrote:You playing this game is illegal, I refer you to the forum rules not permitting any illegal activities.

The game was rated M by ESRB. Which means 17+. And over in the UK, it was rated an 18 by the BBFC and PEGI.
However, in Austrailia it was rated ma15+, which is stupid. Allowing 15 year olds to play a game with extremely strong language, drug abuse, and sexual content? Come on...

... right, flying cars trying to crash into the WTC - which doesn't exist in the game - is wayy crossing the line. I mean, helicopters flying around into buildings is all good. As is cop-killing, civilian-annihilating, and general carnage-inducing activities. Just as long as there aren't any cars in the air because that just brings up too many bad memories. I can't even watch Flubber anymore without a tear running down my cheek.Me too, I am suppriesd that they didnt include one screne multiplayer but the reason there were no flying cars cheat is because of 911, think about it planes, jets and flying cars above a fictional New York... hmmmmmm no way!!

Nope, just illegal to buy. A parent can purchase an 18 rated game for their five year old to play if they so wish.Ackmest Dansam wrote:O_osmartalco wrote:Playing, no; buying, yes.Ackmest Dansam wrote:You playing this game is illegal, I refer you to the forum rules not permitting any illegal activities.

We don't have a higher rating than that in Australia, so if it wasn't MA15+ it would be banned altogether.Drathmoore wrote:I won't comment on the double-post; that's a mod's job.

Ah. Well, that at least gives it a reason to why it's been given that rating...
But wasn't one of the GTA games banned? I think it was San Andreas, but I can't remember exactly (I'm mainly guessing due to the "hot coffee" incident...).

I dunno where fifteen year old are getting enough money for GTAIV, and I don't know why they aren't old enough to be exposed to this content (studies have shown that most folk are completely aware of these things at 12.) What I do know is that it is up to the parent to control purchases and censor their child. Which is why the law that is in place, at least here, is ridiculous. A person who buys a game underage will not be punished, it is, in fact, the store. So, now, stores are being punished and forced to ID because parents can't make sure their child doesn't have fifty extra dollars to spend on a video game, which, below the age of fifteen, is ludicrous without stealing or having a good summer job.

Which means if we want the normal version we must buy online or get it in another country.

Orange- N cannot be spoken, or even thought about in my household. If my parents ever found out that I have played N since the cleansing, my life would be ruined. I keep the game in a multi-passworded .rar on a USB flash drive inside a locked boron alloy container that requires two keys to open (I keep one under the 64th hammer in my piano, and the other one in a small section of removable ceiling in the corner of the attic) hidden in a wall compartment lined with aluminium foil to prevent sonar detection behind my 375 kg cupboard, which is bolted to the floor - the only way to reach it is to abseil outside the fourth floor window and use a screwdriver to unfasten the screws holding the secret brick in place on the opposite side of the wall, but the screwdriver must be a specific type like the one I own, since if any other screwdriver comes into contact with the screws, the entire building will explode, as will a seperate charge placed inside the boron alloy container, rendering the USB useless. Even once the container is retrieved, attemping to open it without the arming pin in place (which is kept inside the battery compartment of my Maglite) will cause the water reservoirs lining the container to burst and react with the caesium lining, causing the container to burst into flames - the only way to prevent this is to use the arming pins to shut off the reservoirs with a sliding steel door. The USB itself contains an accelerometer linked to an explosive charge, meaning that if the USB detects its own movement speed as being greater than 5 cm/s, it will explode - any person attempting to steal it would have to move at a uselessly slow speed. Once plugged into a computer, the USB will upload a ghost virus onto it, leaving no traces. Only the right password can deactivate this virus, and if it is left on the computer for more than six hours, it will format all drives.
As you can see, I take my N playing very seriously.
Guiseppi- I'd much rather watch animals get boned in the ass.
Yanni- If it's glad, it's not rape.
Tsukatu- I refuse to use throw-away bags for such a frequent purpose as buying groceries. Instead, I've collected the hair of my two pet dogs and have woven them together into an all-natural, 100% environmentally friendly bag that I bring with me everywhere. And when I buy products that come in glass and plastic containers, I track down the company that packages them and ship back their containers so that they don't take up space in landfills.
Yeah, I use plastic.

Though i play games underage, yes for example GTA IV. im 13 but im not stupid enough to get overwhelmed by this stuff.
I dont like american ratings (sorry guys :) ) but i think 18 is stupid. maybe 16 is more suitable than 15 but 18, what a joke. For example halo 3 in america is rated what 16+ or something? sorry if im wrong guys but if im right, thats rediculus and all it is, is science-fiction violence with the occasional bit of blood. which any body would have seen. im sick of americans complaining about 12 year olds playing the game when simply thats what its rated down here. sorry for rambling on :)
oh and to answer the question, no who cares. the old gtas arent good enough to support online game play.
