I hate how large the text in the search box is and how small the search results are. Zooming in/out doesn't help.

I HATE the new google layout. The larger search box looks childish, and what I really hate are the side margins (look to the left and right of the blue bar below the search box). it looks TERRIBLE. I've already sent google an angry email about it (which I'm sure they're hard at work ignoring as we speak).
