This idea was born from an IRC chat with a friend. It involves Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. Sureley you've heard of people who give them selves playthrough challenges in the game. Well, he wanted to make the game interesting by doing what they call an SSCC(Single Standard class challenge) which involves playthrough with only a single character, under the claim that the game seemed to easy. Long story short, i threw out the idea of playing what we called the NAIWCC(No Abilities or Items Weak Class Challenge.)

My summer challenge is to actually attempt to beat the game using this challenge I abruptly came up with and the rules we added to it:

1. Challenge starts after the Snowball fight
2. You may only use the "Fight" Command
3. Guests may use abilities, as you do not have control of them
4. Support or Reaction abilities may not be equipped or used
5. Totemas may not be used
6. Combos may not be used
7. Only the following classes are allowed Soldier, Thief, Archer, White Mage, Black Mage, White Monk, Warrior, Beastmaster, Fencer, Animist
8. Level caps (same as SSCC):
Before Famfrit: 10
Before Ultima: 15
Before Adrammelech: 20
Before Exodus: 30
Before Mateus: 35
Before Remedi: 45
9. Law cards may not be used.
10. Abilities may only be used against opponents with reflex. The ability may not cause status affects, or target more than the one unit with reflex. The ability must deal an amount of damage proportionate to the damage of a normal attack.

This'll be difficult, but fun. ;)

You should totally bump up the level cap for beating Remedi. You'll never pull it off.

Well, it's all how I play the match. i could flood with bangaa as even their basic classes are rather strong.

Think about it. Get 6 bangaa warrior, each with the strongest armor they can wear, and as many of them as possible equiped with an angel ring. that way, they have auto raise and a significate amount of protection from debuffs. Not to mention bangaa are the closest things to tanks the game has to offer. At lvl 45, even a warrior can take a significant beating. And there are no rules saying you can't use accessories that grant bonuses. This should make the characters just strong enough to survive remedi.

Edit: also, a white mage with Healing Rod can act as a healer if you just attack your own people. ;)

Good point. Though I don't think the White Mage with the staff will be potent enough to be of any worth against a Bangaa Warrior.

Something has come up where a few rules may need to be broken in order for game completeion. And it's as simple as this:

Reflex. Certain characters in the story quests have reflex making them immune to regular attacks. So, for guys with reflex, and only those people, some abilites may be used, but under severe regulations. :P

So, rule number 10.

10. Abilities may only be used against opponents with reflex. The ability may not cause status affects, or target more than the one unit with reflex. The ability must deal an amount of damage proportionate to the damage of a normal attack.

I'll edit it in.
