This is for Peanuts. <3

Welcome to the fabulous topic for discussing World of Warcraft. This is mainly to post your character and server information so other N buddies can find one another and hangout on WoW. But also feel free to discuss patches, classes/races and anything else related to the game.

THE LIST

Spudzalot:
Server - Deathwing
Characters - Spuddy (Gnome, Mage, lvl 80)

Ravenclaw:
Server - Straghelm
Characters - Creamsoda (Dwarf, Rogue, lvl 63)

Kablizzy:
Servers - Runetotem, Area 52, Blackwing Lair, Sentinels, Perenolde
Characters - 5 to 8 on each...

Chaostar:
Server - Ursin
Characters - Fionorence (Human, Priest, lvl 62)

Sniperwhere:
Server - Garrosh

I've always thought that pie was overpriced, so I have none.

Love it, but currently don't have a PC to play it on, so to speak.

(Apologies for hijacking, if this upsets too much I'll split into its own)

-

Sod this game, take a look at Aion.

Been playing the beta, and while I only got to level 10 the game is far better than the first ten levels of wow at least.

Mssively in-depth character creation.
Stunning graphics.
Hugely satisfying combat that uses a very intuitive combo system.
The ability to sprout wings and fly for all classes!

And so on...

Meta-Game is pvp orientated apparently, I've not looked too much into that yet but there is plenty of information at this forum for those who are interested.

-

The new level 9 tier armours just go to show how Blizzard are running out of ideas and I'm pretty sure this game is going to rob a good deal of subscribers from the king of MMOs. Time will tell.

Wow that game looks amazing. It reminds me of Baten Kaitos but not an RPG. The only problem is that I cant imagine that running on my computer, considering mine can barely handle WoW's graphics. I will give that game a try somtime. :]

Oh and I dont mind the hijacking.

Well, it might be worth grabbing a pre-order key from g2play.net or somewhere similar. They've had three beta weekends so far, with more to come before the September release. The keys are around $5, so not too much to spend to see if you can handle it.

Apparently the game is very well optimised for lower end systems, so you might not have a problem.

Oh, and just to clarify, I don't hate on WoW. I think it's a fantastic game, but I also think something has to come along soon to trump it and Aion might just be it.

The closest I've come to playing this sort of game was Runescape, and that was when I was young.

I mean, I'm not disrespecting the game. I mean, it's got a huge fanbase, a MASSIVE online community... etc etc. But, I've never really gotten into this sort of game. It'd probably bore me after a short while...

Then again I'm more of a Single-Player gamer, and not so much of an MMORPGer.

Meh.. I'm not a fan of these type of games. They take waayyy too much time to get good at, and they tend to be addictive (in a negative way)

I remember playing that game for like... 10 minutes, then I got dead bored. Too slow for me, thank you. I'm with Radium. Takes up too much time trying to get 'good', and I'd rather be playing a fast game. Sonic 2 anyone?

I used to have a Tauren Deathknight called Psi at level 62-ish, but I stopped playing a while ago. Might start up again. I think the server was Fenris or smething.

MA LEVEL 9 NIGHT ELF ROGU IS ON FENRIS I WIL PWN U COM ON! LOL!

And yeh, after every five hour+ session on games like these, I do wonder if it might have been more productive to invest the time instead in my Bass Playing Skill, or my Word Crafting, or my Social Life...

I'll still probably get Aion. I'm weak like that.

I know exactly what you mean. After three or four years of playing WoW off and on, I finally quit a few months back. I was sorely disappointed to find that I waste just as much time when I'm not devoting it all to one thing.

One plus: I can no longer type /played to see the number of days of my life I've wasted. I can ignore my own sloth! :D

I can't wait for Aion to come out, I'm preordering it. It imporves upon WoW in a lot of respects.

I played WoW for awhile, but I always hated questing, it was so damn boring. I couldn't do anything with anybody, because they were higher levels than me, and then they'd just tell me to quest more. And it's mindless shit like kill 100 jellyfish to gain 1/8bar of xp. I eventually got bored of it. But I did think it was fun for quite awhile, as I was level 63 when I quit.

Creamsoda (Level 63 Dwarf Rouge - Staghelm)

PS: Horde sux. Especially Taurens, they are annoying as hell in Battlegrounds.

Then MMORPGs aren't for you.

EVERY and I mean EVERY MMORPG consists of Kill this, Kill X amounts of this, gather this, gather x amounts of this, deliver this, go talk to this person, do the same thing 1000 times.

Sure the actual gameplay might be a little different but it all boils down to the same quests.

I do agree with you that it sucks when you want to quest with someone but everyone you know is lvl 80. Luckily I found someone in our guild that joined the same time I did and it was his first character too so we quest together all the time.

But yah all games have super boring quests, well except Runescape, their's were a bit more exciting... but Runescape isnt all that good. :X

One thing WoW could do to spice things up a bit is add a cutscene every once in a while. I know there are a few in Northrend but seriously nowhere else.

Also I did a ton of Battlegrounds today and got a 0 to 2000 victory against the hordezz. It was awesome. :D

I got this game as a present, but I have yet to install it. Partly because I don't have a good computer to play it on, and partly because I would feel it would be a waste of money to pay a monthly fee and not play it all the time, and I'm not really willing to put that much time into it.

I dunno. I think the plot of many action movies boils down to "Kill six dozen terrorists. Bonus points for explosions." Or, perhaps, "The president has been kidnapped by ninjas. Is Arnold Schwarzenegger a bad enough dude to rescue him?"

Anyway, the point is, the plot is just there as an excuse for things getting killed spectacularly, so WoW should be fully qualified. It's just that Arnie will be required to collect the ninjas' left testicles and carry them back to some guy for a +3 Sword of Castration or something at the end. Which gives a whole new meaning to 'ninja looting'...

There'll be innovation in MMOs someday. Just let me loose on the genre.

Servers:

Runetotem
Area 52
Blackwing Lair
Sentinels
Perenolde

I've got 5-8 characters on each.

Ever play Guild Wars? I find the quests in Guild Wars to be entertaining, maybe it's the cutscenes.
