The Metanet Pokemon Tournament!

Ever wanted to test your mastery of the game against real competition? Tired of cleaning out the Elite Four over and over again? Here, we will determine the greatest Pokemon master on this side of Metanet!

We will be using Netbattle Supremacy as a platform for the competition. Download it here!
Link 1
Link 2

How do I use Netbattle Supremacy?
Create your team in 'Team Builder'. From here, you can select your Pokemon and tweak its moves, stats, natures, EVs, etc. You will not be able to 'Start Battling' until you do so. When you sign on, use the 'Advanced Connect' function and connect to the server 'nb.pmnb.net'. It is the main server for Netbattle Supremacy. You can battle with the trainers there and make any changes to your team if needed.

It is also important to note that your Language for non-Unicode programs is set to English. If you do need to edit these settings, they can be found in the Regional and Language Options in the Control Panel.

Rules:
- This tournament will be held in a League format, with the top 8 advancing to the Finals (completed in a bracket format).
- Over the course of the league, each round will be played to the best of three games.
- The tournament will be completed over twelves rounds: nine rounds of League competition and three rounds of finals competition.
- Six matches will be played each round except for rounds five and seven, where only five are conducted. That way, each player will play eight matches and have a bye during league competition.
- The Finals rounds will be played to the best of five games.
- A win is worth three points, a draw one point, and a loss no points.
- You may select any Pokemon you wish, except for those from the Uber tier.
- You may change teams between rounds without penalty.
- You must use your forum username (or some semblance of it) on Netbattle Supremacy.
- Regarding the turn glitch, if it ever occurs, the player with the free move should use a direct attack so as not to abuse the system (e.g. using the turn to raise stats). Players caught abusing will be disqualified for the round.

The following clauses will be observed:
Smogon wrote: Evasion Clause:
Moves that boost evasion (i.e. Double Team and Minimize) are not allowed.
Freeze Clause:
Two or more Pokémon on a team cannot be frozen at the same time.
Sleep Clause:
Two or more Pokémon on a team cannot be asleep at the same time. Self-induce sleep via rest does not activate Sleep Clause.
OHKO Clause:
One-Hit KO moves are not allowed.
Species Clause:
Two or more of the same Pokémon may not be used on the same team.
Self KO Clause:
If both players have only one Pokémon left, moves which KO both the user and the opponent are not allowed (e.g. Explosion, Destiny Bond). If recoil damage would cause a tie, Self KO Clause does not activate, and the player who last attacked is the winner.
If you want in, express your interest here! (I'm looking for at least 8 people, preferably 16.)

I'm in if I can get it to work on my computer; huge thanks to George for putting me in the right direction, I've got my resident computer expert (my dad) on the case.

EDIT: No item clause? Yes! And Wynaut is an uber? WTF??? Oh, and since when was Latias an OU? It wasn't back in my day...ah, good times...

Wynaut is an obvious one. But Latias... I'm not sure. I wasn't even aware that Heatran was an OU either, but it is.

I'm in. My UU team is going to rawk face. As a side note, and sorry if this has already been discussed, but why not use Shoddy Battle? I don't remember having any glitches using it, as opposed to Netbattle.

I would have thought it would be a server problem; you can't make an independent server to place the tournament on using Shoddy. I don't think you can anyway.

Okay, Drathmoore's convinced me to join. I'll probably make something in the OU tier, seeing as I'm just getting used to the system. Or is that a mistake on my part?

But aren't we just using the main Netbattle server anyway?

Damn damn damn. Don't rule me out yet, but it's looking unlikely at the moment, I'm afraid. Aw, and I put together a kickass team as well, remnants of my old shoddybattle one plus a couple of new elements...

Anyway, I'll see what I can do.

Looks like I won't be able to enter, dammit, my dad couldn't get it to work...
I'd like to see how this plays out though. If anyone does want to face me, Shoddybattle works fine...I'll be on there once I get a decent team together.
