Technically, an electric piano is the electric alternative to an acoustic piano (as distinct from an electronic keyboard). I agree with your sentiment!

Guitar, piano, whatever the variety, are pretty much the two most useful instruments around. I prefer both.

Piano+Jazz beats almost everything. Just think about Cantaloupe Island from Herbie Hancock.

Although I prefer the electrical bass to a guitar.

And I prefer the BIG BASS (oh yeah that huge thing) over everything.

piano. one because it is alot easier to learn and not much to do with how fingers are set. two you can mute the piano or make it louder with only a pedal. that and the sound is amazingly beautiful.

I love both instruments, but piano gets my vote.
And on a side note.

eh, piano does have a bit to do with how the fingers are set. I played piano for close to 3 years before giving it up and though I progressed quickly it was hard to figure out how to place your fingers correctly and efficiently.

I do like both instruments, and their variations, but as for which is harder really depends on who you're asking, and I think someone who is fluent in both instruments would be most qualified to let us know. If you do play both, ninja, then I'll take your word that guitar is harder.

I don't believe that any instrument is harder then another. Every instrument has its own quality that makes it easier or more difficult.
For instance a piano has sustain and a guitar has picking and fingering at the same time. The guitar can be played in many different
ways, while the piano has only a few. The piano however has a pretty unique sound that not many other instruments have. I love the
piano and have been playing it for a long time, and I have played a little guitar, but I just can't give up my keys.

Guitar.
Piano only if it's a keyboard and used for electronic dancing sounds, or the piano itself if it's used in Mogwai.
For the rest: Guitar.
But even better is: Saxophone
