The FSS Enterprise has been forced to detach it's saucer section due to core failure. While the engineering section (with tactical bridge) stays to continue the fight, under the command of cmdr. Riker, as it is better armed (albeit very awkward looking with the saucer section missing). The saucer section, under the command of cpt. Jean-Luc Picard, proceeds to the nearest space station.

In the midst of the short trip containment in the saucer's ancillary independent propulsion system begins to fail. With hull integrity already at a minimum due to the previous battle, they have no choice but to attempt a landing, something that galaxy-class vessels are not intended to do (much less only half of the vessel).

By freak chance, the saucer section comes to rest directly on top of UniverseZero. Jean-Luc arises from the captains chair, slyle performing the Picard maneuver [obscure star trek reference], and proceeds to the nearest airlock. He steps off the edge of the saucer section (no trivial task, considering that the edge of the saucer section is 3 decks high) in to the ditch. Striking a triumphant pose, he plants the flag of the United Federation of Planets.

The amount of weight that is caused from filling in the ditch causes the bottom to collapse, which in turn empties into a load of hot lava. The top layer cools, but it is thin enough so that if anyone tries to fill in the ditch AGAIN, it will just collapse under them. I discarded a frickin' badger just to check. So I am now giving his mother the queenship.
