Quake Live, essentially a remake of Quake 3, only this time, in your freakin' browser! The game is ok, but I thought, hey, what the hell? Let's make a topic in hopes I can get some friends from the good ol' metanet community to play. The game pretty much keeps it's Quake 3 feel, and it adds a few new weapons. it has achievements out the wazoo, and players galore. Sure, it's probably not as good as the original, but it's a pretty good time waster. My name in the game is Snuggletummy, so find me, play me, me kill you, that sort of thing. Anyway, see you in the game. So, where's the link you may ask? Look down. That pretty logo? That's the link.

From watching videos, this looks pretty nice, but I don't like the dizzyingly fast movement and certain weapons (that's just personal preference, though). I'm still deciding whether or not I'm going to actually play this.

Honestly? I think quake live sucks, you have to queue for ages multiple times and then actually being able to get past the qualification is ridiculous because when it finishes it seems to think you haven't finished so you have to do it again (Which is a bitch when you're fighting on expert). Either way all it is, is Quake 3 in a web browser and I have Quake 3 so I can just play that and have just as much fun.

That pretty much sums up my feelings for it exactly. But, being the nice guy I am, I decided to host a topic to tell everyone it was out and whatnot. Someone will probably like it. Also, the queue is only temporary. They're doing that at the moment until they can figure out how many people are playing, then they need to adjust the server to that.

Update, the game, once you get in, is actually pretty freaking fun, the queue has died down a little bit as well, so it's that much more tolerable. Also, people are really good in this..

I was SO CLOSE.

You weren't that close, heheh. I'm just waiting for BETA to be over and release a Mac version.

Runesape:MMORPGs::Quake Live:FPSs

It's novel but the coolness doesn't offset the limitations yet.
