It would be like remaking Super Mario World with additional levels. The levels wouldn't fit or be as good as the originals, and therefore, even though it included the entire original game and therefore could not be argued against as being worse, nobody would like it as much. They took a perfect game and added features nobody wanted and graphics nobody needed.

I liked it a lot. Of course, I liked the show at the time, and it was cool to have a game that paralleled that show.
Incidentally, your avatar isn't showing up for me at all, techno.

For persons who played LeafGreen first, blue was clearly bad, horribly bad. (I'm saying it by my own experience)

and nosepass (the nose rock thing above) is personally one of my least favourite pokemon. this just shows what a matter of opinion the "quality" of pokemon is, across generations.
also, typhosion is awesome, and larvitar is a badass. i agree totally about the overall good feel of the 2nd gen games, but i dont think the 3rd gen should even be labled anywhere near "shitty".

no-one can argue with that.

I was ecstatic. I almost cried when my dad accidentally pressed new game when I had a 50+ group of Pokemon. And then I restarted and got Feraligatr to max level. It was my addiction of the early 2000's. Then I gave it away to my cousin. And never touched the game again.

i did cry when someone resetted my 73 "yr" old digimon. that shit was intensely sad. then, i you know, grew up a little :PTribulatioN wrote:I almost cried when my dad accidentally pressed new game when I had a 50+ group of Pokemon.
@palemoon: semi-agree. the town layouts still piss me off :P but i love the UI.

I don't see how people can say that R/B/Y are better than the other generations. Sure, they have some nostalgic value, but the later generations have improved gameplay and better graphics, as well as myriad useful little alterations from the first gen. Plus, imo, the legendaries got better with each generation. I also like how there are more legendaries for each generation. :D

But Blue and Red were far from perfect! It was massively slow and grinding at parts and the menus were awful to navigate. I certainly agree that Pokemon was generally better when it was simpler but I'm always going to prefer colour over black and white and the ability to run over being forced to meander everywhere.SlappyMcGee wrote:It would be like remaking Super Mario World with additional levels. Why a GSC remake would be great, considering the references in DP and the coding that Johto is a possible location for a Poke to be caught from.

If memory serves, Tyranitar, Houndoom, Kindra, and Blaziken were not legendaries. Although Pupitar was one hell of a beast.Condog wrote:Pfft, Digimon?
