As far as the most fun to beat, i liked that reanimated skeleton thing from the desert temple place in Twilight Princess. Hell, I love anything that has to do with the spinner, and I wish it had been incorporated more.

I agree with Link's Awakening. That makes two awards for Link's Awakening: Best video game boss and most irritating owl.
I know I've posted in this thread, but I'll do it again because my post's gone. Link's Awakening is the best handheld game ever made, but the boss award has to go to #3 in Oracle of Ages, the guy who spouts fireballs while you drop bombs in his mouth-thing.

Also Shadow of the Colossus, of course.

I'd have to say that big eyeball thing from Link's Awakening is my favourite boss, for two reasons really: 1. the whole simplicity of it being an eyeball thing, and 2. thinking about it is like being slapped in the face with nostalgia.

Edit: Oh wow, totally didn't see that Link's Awakening had been mentioned above o.o

X4 and X5 are some of, if not the best games in the series! But, aside from that, yeah. Sigma is bloody difficult.

Definetly Duo from this Megaman game I played when I was 9. I respected him.

The fight is amazing because people are frozen in ice tombs and you have to hide behind them to avoid ice bolts of death. But at the same time you have to break the blocks before they end up killing the people, but if you do it to early you die. Its so crazy and fun. :D

The sugar boss from Yoshi's Story. Coolest one ever, even cooler than Yahoozy's spider... thing.

Heh. He's a great boss. I think I preferred Sledge, I love how that battle was so drawn out and you really had to work for your kill by luring him into open areas while staying out of range of that mean-ass shotgun of his.

I'm still in love with this game.

PS: Suki, we really need to get our co-op on. what level you at now?

I'm surprised LittleViking hasn't come in here yet to refute the fact that Mother Brain in Super Metroid hasn't been mentioned yet. Everything about that battle is perfect. Aside from that and the aforementioned Master Porky from Mother 3: Phalanx from Shadow of the Colossus, Jalhalla from Wind Waker, Prince Froggy from Yoshi's Island, Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid, Giygas from Earthbound, Yami from Okami.

Meta-Knight from the Kirby series! :)

Also, I'm a fan of almost every single Metroid boss, especially Ridley.

Unfortunately, I really haven't been playing a good deal, as I've been pretty busy in general. Last I played, I think my Berserker hit level 19 or so.

Princo Frog from Yoshi's Island?! =O That level boss always made me anatomy in general.

Adrammelech was pretty cool. Riku from KHI was cool, likewise.

Oh man! Has anyone played Castlevania 3? I started it tonight and stopped after beating Death, but I have to say, that really was one of the most difficult bosses I've ever played. The first part isn't too bad once you nail it down, but then... GIANT skull takes up a huge section of the screen, flies around, fires scythes

The whole last level of Metal Slug 3 deserves a mention for being outrageously over the top. Helicopters, tanks, UFOs, aliens, clones of you character, zombie clones, and to top it off you destroy a giant robot brain monster as you both fall through the sky. It's a hell of a stage.

Also of course fucking Alma from Ninja Gaiden.
