In my opinion, Down with the Sickness. The vocal solo is just so off-tune with the album.

Oh, man, any song that fades out irritates me so much. The majority of Bowie songs do just that. JUST STOP THE SONG WITH A BEAT OR A CYMBAL HIT! RARGHH

I love the way Bowie fades out. It makes a song so much easier to listen to on loop.Broghan wrote:Oh, man, any song that fades out irritates me so much. The majority of Bowie songs do just that. JUST STOP THE SONG WITH A BEAT OR A CYMBAL HIT! RARGHH

The Apocalyptica version of One.
Sure, the start sounds really great, but guys, that solo was not made for cellos. :/

On that note, "Good Vibrations" (Beach Boys) and "Jive Talkin'" (Bee Gees) both have false endings as well, but the actual end isn't that bad in either case. The end of a song is equally as important as the beginning, and it's often overlooked.KinGAleX wrote:Milliontown by Frost*. Two false endings. ;_;

Don't cry by the Guns N' Roses ending completely ruins a track that had already gone on a little to long
The sort of weird skit bit at the end of So Easy by Roysopp is irritating I usually don't mind that sort of thing but it just totally doesn't fit with the track.
The end of DK's Cemical Warfare used to annoy me but it's grown on me.
I'm sure there are way more but I've forgotten them.
On a similar note the end of John Frusciante's Mascara must be one of the best endings ever I actually just listened to it on Itunes repeatedly clicking back to the beginning of that section just to hear the last 30 seconds of the song for like an hour. For that matter Death of a Martian should be up there with the best also.

NO it's genius how can you hate on that it's the perfect ending to the album >:(HA. I immediately thought that. For once I agree; come the fuck on, Lennon.SlappyMcGee wrote:

It's the best Beatles song except for the loop at the end. "Never to see any other way" or something.chume14 wrote:Don't cry by the Guns N' Roses ending completely ruins a track that had already gone on a little to long

It's funny, I totally agree with the thing about Don't Cry, but I'd never actually thought about it until just now. I actually had to go back and play it just to remind myself how it ends.chume14 wrote:Don't cry by the Guns N' Roses ending completely ruins a track that had already gone on a little to long

And a HUGE QFE on Death of a Martian having one of the best endings ever.

Nujabes's Peaceland. Way to ruin the chilling, man. :<
I probably only really hate the ending because I wish it could go on forever, but... :<

Chyeah. It was a great way of ending the whole album actually, and it payed a nice tribute Flea's late dog.squibbles wrote:And a HUGE QFE on Death of a Martian having one of the best endings ever.

Some of System of a Down's abrupt endings really bother me. e.g. Attack, Dreaming, Sad Statue... it's like they just decided to stop playing and shout something and call it the end.
Also, the ending of Chemical Brothers - Surface to Air is so fast and out of nowhere that when I first heard it I thought the end of the file had gotten chopped off somehow. Still wish it had slowed down a little instead of just whamming you in the face with the tail end of a cymbal roll and calling it a day.
