Almost none. Ventrilo moreso, but it would be near impossible to do a GB of Ventrilo in a month.

If it helps, my IRC logs, which are probably for a lesser time period than other members here, is 15 megabytes. That's for about this whole year.

My IRC log for #N from the second of August this year until now is a mere 4.5 MB. So, in short, very very little, because all you're exchanging is simple text.

You probably download by loading YouTube.com (not even any videos) than you will in the average IRC hour. Seriously. ~180 KB vs. about 30 KB/day for IRC (according to my logs).
