That is, would you confide with them in dark times, go to them seeking advice on personal issues? Or do you think that no-one on the internet should know about your personal life?

I'd confide with Drathmoore, but he doesn't really count since he's IRL. :3

Who would you confide with, if anyone?

Not to start the bandwagon, or anything, but in all seriousness, dear old Kablizzy would probably be the guy I'd turn to was I to find myself in an appropriately difficult situation at some point.

I'm actually 30 year old computer genious trying to collect your personal data, acting like a children, also collecting some stupid kids' photos and updating them as myself, using a voice changing program on Vent, using incredibly da grammar, but all you think I'm an asshole.

You should trust no one, not just internet, in reality too. But some of you guys are acting really good.

Tunco123, when you have seen the same core people on here on an almost daily basis for near on 5 years, I think you can sort of let your paranoia go. When you have talked on vent many times before you can kinda see who people really are.
That being said I would only trust the older guys that I'm familiar with. Not that I would really need to trust anyone on here anyway though. And especially not with anything highly personal that someone else could exploit.

If I ever did need something though, I'd like to think that there are a few people here that would have my back.

Oh, well. Okay. Yeah, it would no doubt be Pheidippides, or probably Destiny (I talk to him outside of IRC, in XFire actually). And I think Kablizzy is a trustworthy fellow.

Hell, I've actually asked Tanner and Spoon in the past for some help. Spoon less so though.

Skyline and Fingersonthefrets are the two people I go to the most within the community.

There are only a few other people who I trust enough to tell things that I try and keep private from the rest of the community.

I just go to IRC and throw it all. People are usually nice ("story time yay") and I don't see a reason to why I shouldn't be telling some stuff of my life.
