So I work in quantum computing now, specifically quantum error correction. I had written a lengthy post on our laboratory blog about a code I designed, but the stupid software deleted it. I have to go now, but I want to save this diagram, so I'm parking it here. It represents a novel quantum error correcting schema: a perfect CSS code with asymptotically optimal density and low-weight local check operators. Also known as a "helluva lucky guess".
As soon as we wish to be happier, we are no longer happy.
