Basic human decency.
If you haven't been following the whole AirBnB scandal, it's described here and here and it's basically been blowing up Hacker News for the past few days.

EDIT: the comforting thing is that, thanks to the internet and peer pressure, these guys are gonna have to pay for her house. Period. They'll never get another customer if they don't. (And the still may not.)Suddenly Airbnb’s only FAQ on a situation like this doesn’t sound as witty and fun as it must have before.
"Will someone steal my grand piano?
Highly unlikely. Grand pianos weigh thousands of pounds and do not fit through doors."
And from what I've read briefly of this company, they own the stupidest idea and worst business model ever.

1) What's both saddening and disgusting is that if Airbnb had immediately jumped up and helped her in every way they could, they would have stood to make a ton of money. If they took a stand and said "Hey, we won't tolerate this shit. We are going to reimburse her as much as we can, help find the bastard that did this, and take this case as a wake-up call to restructure our business model to ensure that this does not happen again," this company would only get better as a result. As it is, the company is "[suggesting] that [she] update the blog with a “twist” of good news so as to 'complete the story'." Ugh.
2) This will blow over. Remember that big oil spill in the Gulf Coast? Oh, you forgot about that? Exactly.
If it doesn't blow over, I would hope that it serves as a message for serious reform in both existing and future "Web 2.0" outlets.
