Competition/Ranked gamemode (X-post with N++ Reddit)

First off, I wanna mention that Raigan had already posted about a similar idea that they are working on.
I do not know if this idea is realistic at this point, but I am just throwing it out there.
So, the idea.
A new option will be added to the main menu, this option will be called something like "Ranked".
Ranked got a main stand-alone leaderboard, more on that later.
Everyday, a new level will be added to the ranked playlist, this level will stay active for 7 days, this means that at every given time, 7 levels will be active and playable.
In these 7 days, players will be able to climb the level's leaderboards on these levels, however, they cannot watch the replays of other players, the reason for that is to keep it a true competition of who can find the best route + who can execute that route the best.
After these 7 days, the level will be deactivated. And at the same time, all 20 players will receive points:
0th - 20 points
1st - 19 points
2nd - 18 points
And so on...
All points that a player receives will be counted towards his/her total amount of points. That's where the main Ranked leaderboard comes in: here, players will be ranked by the total amount of points they have gained from playing the ranked levels.
A new level everyday seems like a lot of work though, maybe a new one every 3 days would be fine as well? Or let the community submit maps? Not sure.
This kind of works like a built-in 'NPoints competition' people who play Nv2 probably know what I'm talking about :)
So, what do you think?
