Yeah. I hate how everyone thinks spam is just a numerical basis. It's every bit as reliant on the context of each message.

If they were discussing spamming instead of the act thereof, yes. As it is, it's just kinda ironic and a bit infuriating.

I was thinking when this topic first came up, of double posting, for irony, but I can't remember why I didn't...

Eternal_//Boredom isn't the cause of spam. Boredom is why we're all here in the first place.
The cause of spam is the unwillingness to post properly.

Hey Blizz, I'm pretty sure my post count just got the hundreds digit taken off, and I haven't even been spamming. Was that you, or someone else, or am I dreaming?

EDIT: For the record I (think) I only had about 150 posts in several months.

A handful of 2-day bans couldn't hurt, could they?
I think that's what I'm gonna start handing out for egregious cases of spamming from this point forward.

Post count isn't the issue. We don't care how much your post count goes up. It just gets ridiculously annoying to see one username plastered across the entire Board Index, especially when the person with that username hasn't made any significant contributions to the multitude of topics he's replied to and doesn't even have the decency to post with proper spelling and grammar. i agree wholeheartedly.
but if you have a good contribution, say it.

There's no way anyone has 42 "good contributions" to make in a scant three hours. Don't you think that's just /slightly/ excessive? Especially at a forum that's only moderately active to begin with?

Sometimes when I'm bored and feel like spamming I spam myself with pm's instead of topics.
