Is anyone interested in starting a Metanet Fantasy Football League? We'd need only eight players. ESPN has a very good fantasy football page, and I figured getting a draft scheduled shouldn't be too hard.

EDIT: If we had a "mail-in" draft over 24 or 48 hours rather than a live IRC draft everything would be much more peaceful.

Right now I have it on private, but if no one joins we may just open it up right before the draft to fill some empty slots. We need to coordinate a draft date and time. For now, I have it set at Saturday Sept 11th at 10:00 PM ET.

How about the thursday of the ninth?

uhh.. it takes less than an hour. Drafts that aren't live are chance.

I'm torn.. I want to do it but at the same time, I don't want to deal with things like trading, injured players, etc.

I can do this, but earlier than 10. I wake up pretty early. I can do Thursday at 9 GMT-5/Eastern

I'm in, but Thursday may not be good for me depending on what time we end up choosing... I get my laptop taken up at 10 GMT-6 on weekdays ;_;

okay.. well we didn't get the time voted in.. so I guess it's saturday or nothing. Sorry guys this was a bit last minute.

The nice thing about ESPN is that if you aren't present at the draft you can set it up so it drafts certain players in a certain order. Similar to a mail in draft. Example, You rank your top 30 players in each position, and then what position you are going to draft each round, then the computer simply takes the highest player in your ranking available at that position.

What timezone is meant by 10? It's 9:30 here and I definitely do not want to miss the draft.

Edit: My bad, it says it up there. Also, I just realized today is Friday.

ESPN notes that we should all arrive an hour before the draft, so hopefully 9PM is good for everyone.

I've registered #Fantasy, so we don't populate #n with our trash talk.

Looking forward to the draft tonight!
