now as a 2.0 release here at http://packs.droni.es/

more minimalism because it is best
welcome to packs 2.0.1.arbitrary numbers that don't mean anything

be greeted by slightly more descriptive fields and now you can name packs in the submission form
when (more or less) valid data is provided, it will upload it to the server and redirect you to the pack page

contents:
pack name box
pack data box
submit button

a fantastic new rendition of the packs layout we've come to know and love with the addition of a map list and the ability to filter results by author or map title

contents:
pack title
pack download link
map box
map name
map author(s)
map data
pack paging system (first/previous/skip to/next/last)

open the sidebar (or if you're on a small screen, it's towards the bottom of the page):
map search
map list

features:
  • submit packs
give the site the userdata content of your pack file
archive it to the cloud so you never have to lug it around again!
  • share packs
you get a unique id for your pack when it's uploaded
give the link to a friend if you have one and he can see your pack!
  • view maps
browse through the maps in a pack one at a time.
so convenient that you don't even need to open n!
  • search maps
filter through the names and authors of maps in a pack to find a specific one.
use it to see if you're in a pack against your consent!
  • download the pack
so you've browsed through it or don't even have the time for that or just plain hate technology...
just download the pack as if packs didn't even exist!
known issues:
  • svg rendering is a butt,
there is a grid-like effect on the tiles in certain browsers that aren't chrome
to get past this i decided to sacrifice the look of tile edges for browsers that are not chrome
if you are an svg expert and know how to do shape tiling without it aliasing edges that are flush with other objects please drop me a line my phone is 001.619.555.8677
  • filtering can be slow
on very large packs and if you're on a slow computer. they tend to try to match computers up with people so you may just be out of luck. i'm going to work on making the filter less intensive later on but for now please make do (i just implemented debouncing on the filter box so :>)
  • i'm single
ladies and gentlemen. i enjoy long walks on the beach, deep conversation, holding hands, romance novels, pruning the garden, skinny dipping and piggy-back rides. call me, my number is above
  • packs2 will take over packs
when i am satisfied that it won't break anything, but in the meantime both http://packs.droni.es/ and http://packs2.droni.es/ will be working at the same time. they both use the same location for saving packs so they are interchangeable (http://packs.droni.es/4f82b0b7e27a0cd868 is http://packs2.droni.es/4f82b0b7e27a0cd868)
feedback:
you can take your inquiries and suggestions and shove them up
to the end of this topic where i can look them over and consider
i will appreciate feedback
