I just bought the Logitech x540 Surround Sound speakers, and hooked all the wires up together correctly. When I got to the sound hardware properties and performed the test, all of the speakers worked fine, and Windows said the properties were applied to the device. But now when I do anything besides the test, the sound only comes out of the front two speakers and subwoofer. I have a Realtek High Definition Audio sound card. Your help with this problem would be most appreciated.

What program are you using to play these sounds out of? Also, It may be basic and supposedly obvious, but have you switched the settings in the control panel to 5.1 surround?

I am using Microsoft Zune Player, Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic, etc. And yes, I have changed the settings in control panel, and the test has all the speakers working fine, like I explained in my first post.

EDIT: Problem solved. Please lock topic.

For some reason, all speakers were engaged when I used matrix mode, and when I wasn't using matrix mode, only the front two were engaged. It should be the exact opposite, but whatever, I can live with it.
