Power Supply!

I might be getting a website to make this for me-
http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/pro ... s_id=37790
http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/pro ... s_id=43059
http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/pro ... s_id=42907

http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/pro ... s_id=38623
http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/pro ... s_id=39837

And possibly a sound card too.
Unfortunately they don't make computers with cases that have no inbuilt PSU and the case with the highest watts on the website I can find is 550W, Is that enough to run a computer like this?

I do not know much about computer building as other members but I can tell you that you would need a lot more than 550W to run that computer.

Well, first off, that mobo is the wrong kind for the processor. Do you need a monitor, OS, keyboard, mouse, speakers? What's your budget? And Tunco, 550W is enough for that system. I'd still stick with at least 600-700W for an i7... You don't need such a high end system unless you're playing GTA4 at like 1920x1200 with max settings. Sound card really isn't necessary, as almost every new mobo has integrated sound that's decent. There are firmware issues with the HD you selected. You also need to choose a case. They do have cases without PSUs if you look in the "Cases and Enclosures" section. I'll leave that up to you, cause case is personal choice.

I've recreated a system for you.

Mobo: http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/pro ... s_id=40936
CPU: http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/pro ... s_id=40500
GFX: http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/pro ... s_id=41630
RAM: http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/pro ... s_id=40280
DVD: http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/pro ... s_id=38647
HD: http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/pro ... s_id=35126
PSU: http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/pro ... s_id=41654

So far it's $1,184

550 watt would be enough... if it was a decent power supply. Knowing that cases generally come with PSUs that aren't exactly the best quality, I'm not sure I'd want to use just a 550. If it was a decent Corsair or PCP&P PSU, it would be just find.

No, I have decent leftovers from my current desktop, and I forgot to link you guys the OS, it's Windows Home Premium 64 Bit.

If I ever get 5.1 speakers, am I still going to be able to have surround sound?

I know they have cases without PSUs in the "Cases and Enclosures" section, it's just that when you are getting a custom computer built by them they don't allow you to use them.

That may or may not do... why not just build it yourself? The integrated sound supports 5.1 speakers

Then go with the Antec with 550W.

EDIT: Windows 7 home premium 64 bit right? Not Vista?

I would NEVER EVER EVER BUY VISTA, thanks for the help.
Oh, what's the difference between Windows 7 Full Retail and Windows 7 DVD Home 64-bit?

Hard to say, because neither of those exist. Your choices are probably between Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate.
Refer to this handy chart to pick out differences between editions.
