I finally got around to reading the Pitchfork Readers Poll and thought it'd be a really cool idea to do for Metanet as well. I'm willing to do all the work and tally the votes and everything, all you guys have to do is post with your top 3 choices for each list. I know I'm not exactly the most respected member here - I've had my share of dick moves and screw-ups - but I'm volunteering my time to try and get this together.

Best genre I discovered this year: Bossa nova! Holy shit, this is awesome.

Runner up: Japanese noise rock. See also Melt-Banana.

Worst album to take American over the age of 27 by surprise: The Suburbs by Arcade Fire.

All of my awards are positive because 2010 was one of my favorite musical years ever.

I agree with so much of Stephen's list it's scary.

I actually meant that semi-sarcastically... I liked Hurley a lot more than I expected to but since I had rock-bottom expectations that's not much of a stretch. It was pretty fun.
