In that case, are they doing a show anywhere near you guys / is anyone planning on seeing them?

Planning on seeing them? Ha ha ha ha ha ha, shit yes I'm planning on seeing them. San Francisco tickets go on sale the 26th, still waiting for news from the Los Angeles venue. Ideally, I'd see them in Los Angeles because that's an hour's drive versus eight hours to San Francisco. But only time will tell.
I know New York was sold out by the time I heard about the tour dates, so they seem to be going fast.

The closest venue to me would be their second to last stop in Chicago. I'd really like to go, but it's probably an over 18... wait a sec... Shit. I will be over 18 by then. Now all I need is a car. =\ Tickets will probably be sold out before I can get my hands on them anyway.

They aren't playing a show even remotely close to me.

Yet. Let them get the Canada tour out of the way.hairscapades wrote:They aren't playing a show even remotely close to me.
Or we could fly to California and spend time with LV.

I suppose I will be road-tripping to Nashville, then. Sorta not really surprised that they're not coming to Austin.

I just found out about their unreleased tracks, Albanian and Gamelan, and I read somewhere that once upon a time you could download Albanian from their website for free (a studio version, not a live performance). Does anyone have a copy of it? Or Gamelan, for that matter?

Well, New York would have been ideal, but I guess I'm driving four hours to Philadelphia.

Athens, GA is about an hour's drive away from me. I may or may not have a car by then, so I can't think about buying tickets until January.
...by which point there will be no tickets. Shit, I'd be surprised if there are still any tickets right now.

Where's a good place to begin with GYBE? I've liked what I've heard when I've heard it.

Pretty much have to do it by album, recent A Silver Mt. Zion is in a similar vein but more accesible if you want to work backwards. Or 28 Days Later? Yeah, that.

I feel like starting anywhere else but the beginning might yield a negative impression on their first album, but my order is: Lift Your Skinny Fists, Yanqui U.X.O., Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada, f#a#∞
Bear in mind that it's difficult to place any of these albums in a certain order, as they're consistently quality albums. I love each of them.

Yeah, but I haven't heard three quarters of the albums that I have public opinions about.
