This is horrible. Some of these artists are actually respected...

The first one had a pretty respectable* soundtrack as well, didn't it?

I think this one, the second, is the most respectable. Indie wannabes were up in arms about it last year.

I was reading some article about Muse getting involved in the upcoming movie, and they mentioned Grizzly Bear being involved in previous movies... I was shocked, and a little disappointed :/

I thought the first one had some good music. Claire de Lune, La Triviata, Full Moon, and Spotlight were all great tracks. I didn't really listen to the stuff Rob Pattinson did for the album, though.

Man, if the Twilight guys came to me and said, "Can you write a three minute song for our soundtrack and we'll give you <insert insane amount of money here>" I'd be all over that so fast. Why not?

Hey, I'm not saying I wouldn't "sell out" either or whatever, I'm just saying, it kinda stains their reputation.

No, making bad music stains their reputation. I haven't heard the soundtrack, but if the songs are decent (would you like them if they were entirely dissociated from Twilight?), there's nothing wrong with making a buck.

I don't dislike the music, I dislike how they're presented, and associated with.

I've seen the movies. Songs range from mediocre to bad. Agree with Tanner. Not sure why you're bothered that musicians want to make money, Ganteka.

I've seen both, without the aid of hilarious audio commentary. And now you understand the amount of brain damage I have accumulated.

Admittedly, I just barely got through the whole thing while playing my DS and listening to whenever Twatward would say something, and turn it into some sort of gay joke. The anger of my sister more than makes up for it.

Good/Decent songs wasted on a piece of shit movie. I used to respect Muse. Now I just like their music, no respect is deserved on their part.

Being one of the bigger Killers fans on this forum, I'm gonna tell you that's pretty much the worst song they've ever recorded. And yes, I've listened to it.

I've got to say, as much as the music wasn't all that horrible, Pattison's stuff was just strange and contrary to the rest of the movie. The feel that it had didn't suit the surroundings of the film, and the sweet song which he was meant to write for Bella in the first movie was perhaps the most un-pretty example of music which I have heard since I broke my headphones and attempted to listen to a rendition of white noise.
