Hey!

This is simple. (I'm inspired by Lenny's thread) We'll just choose the best 100 songs ever made so far. Maybe a Top 10? I'm sorry if this is identical as another thread, but far as I know, it's not. And if pinned, it'll help.

Another idea, which includes that choosing 10 or [a number of] albums and choosing that best 100 or Top 10 from those albums? Oh, this one is brilliant. We could make two or three lists, which one of them will include payware songs, one of them will include freeware songs which you can find on internet for free and legal (Note: that's important guys, please) and the other list will include both freeware and payware songs.

Aha! We could even assemble the freeware songs in a WinRar file!

If you have any suggestion, we won't make fun of you for it, post you recommendation. I'll edit this post when someone has recommendations, (and when I have time) and maybe a few months later (who knows?), when everyone is done with their recommendations, we can start listing the songs to an order.

And please, please post a download link to the album (the song) if it is freeware. Thank you.

No, no, I mean it.

E: I'm sorry if that sounded sarcastic.

Some songs work better as parts of an album. The single 100 best songs ever made is a bad idea.

100 best albums would be sick.

I don't think this will work, unfortunately. Simply from a logistical point of view - to get even 100, we'd each have to chip in a song. And then it wouldn't be the "best", it would be our "favourites". And deciding upon a favourite... I don't know about you, but I certainly couldn't (I could actually easily give a personal top 250 all by myself, about 10% of which would fall into my "top 1").

So... yeah. We're just too varied to do this, I think, even though it's a great idea.

Well, it's ok if nobody finds this interesting or likable. If no one has anything to add, it's ok if you lock this.

I made a list of my favorite 53 songs one time which I'd be happy to link if this goes anywhere. It won't reflect anyone else's taste*, but that doesn't bother me.

That would be cool, if linked.
