Just show off any of your music that you've made.

Here's something of mine to start it off:

I'm not so proud of our first effort as I was, but the sound and general quality of the EP is still pretty decent. Can't wait to start recording our new stuff.

Oh boy, just wait a week or so. I'm getting two of my pieces (one brand new!) played by Tesla Coils, and then I'm going to put the videos everywhere I can.

Just you wait...

Awesome topic, by the way.

Are you serious? I loved that EP; I have it on my iPod and can't wait for some new stuff! By the way, what instrument(s) do you play?

No, no, THOSE ARE FUCKING AMAZING. I've listened to them months ago and they were awesome, really.

atob, you've got a solid set of songs there.
Was impressed with the break down in tetris for kicks.
Reminds me strongly of Bloc Party, and partially of YouMeAtSix.

"A glass half-full of Indie; A dash of Hardcore; A pinch of progressive tendencies; A whiff of metal (a faint whiff, mind); Half a leaky glowstick; The sole of a disco shoe.

Wash that all down with a few pints of trauma and a shot of desire and you might come close to our aspirations for creating sound.

Or, I guess, you could just listen.
"

Aahahahaahahah. Amazing.

Anyway, I'm moving these to my Zune later. I don't have sound on my PC, but I'll check 'em out and edit in my response.

Awesome music. I'm not far into the technical side of things, but I like the music. I think it's refreshing that the bassist is the (I presume) lead vocals.

Refreshing? It's one of the oldest tricks in the book! From Kiss to Rush to Primus to Paul McCartney.

I tried making a quick, home-made cover of the start of Opeth's Hessian Peel last weekend!

As requested by southpaw on IRC, a techno/classical song with an oboe.

Sounds like a clarinet, to me...

Pretty good though. Sounds far better in the parts with drums, because otherwise it's easy to loose the beat.

Oh, and cool cover art, plus good ending.

Ever composed a piece of music, whether it be classical, rock or rap? Or ever thought about becoming a composer whether as a hobby or a career?
Well this is the place to share your compositions. Either attach a recording or score of a piece you've played, and share with the community your talents.

I'll kick it off with a short classical Nocturne in C Minor.

Topic already existed - merged.

As to your piece, excellent example of Classical. I reckon it could have gone for longer, actually, as many of those pieces went for a few minutes, but it was very good.

Could've been more complex, and it was a little annoying, but overall I really liked it.

We recently finished our house music competition at school, which is where small groups (for three of the four - one is the whole house) perform in front of the entire school, and compete to come first in the entire thing.
Though I'd share our small group performances, seeing as our house came first overall.

The three songs consist of...
Popcorn (my arrangement and idea... I managed the entire thing, in fact, and played chords on Piano)
Fly Me To The Moon (a group decision, and I sang)
Death And All His Friends (which I played no part in, other than coming to some rehearsals and getting the song stuck in my head)

Enjoy!

Edit: moved to a more relevant topic.
