@life: fuck yeah relient k.

Death Cab - Plans, Narrow Stairs, Transatlanticism, they're all really good.
Led Zeppelin - II & III are mah favs
The Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Callifornication is still awesome.
Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I am, That's What I'm Not is definitely worth a listen every few months or so.
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm followed by A Weekend in the City. They're both good haters go hate etc.
Muse - Absolution and Black Holes and Revelations. Also their new one wasn't bad, but they really are best live.
A Sound Mind - Harmonia. Kickass prog metal/rock/whatever with pianos and cool vocals. Bought the album off a band member on the street, paid for his lunch, heh. apparently they're doing really well now.
Pink Floyd - The Wall, cause I grew up with it. A lot of their other stuff is still awesome but this one's been burned into my history.

I've mostly been listening to compilation CDs recently actually. This is all memory, don't have a media library on this laptop, so I feel like I'm missing a lot of stuff...

Idea for new thread, we come up with an eclecticism quotient, which gives a numerical value for how eclectic your taste in music is, and then see who is the most eclectic, and therefore best person on the forums.

If you use last.fm then there are a couple of ways of seeing how eclectic your music taste is. I can't find any straight away but I know they exist.

I was going to say that music isn't a contest but then I got 98/100 on the eclectic meter. http://anthony.liekens.net/pub/scripts/ ... r=Tanner47

There doesn't seem to be a way to restrict the time period. I was also mentioning how unfortunate that is.

That's always the case. My music taste has changed so much over the last 2 years, and if I didn't count everything before 2009 then I'm sure my scores would be much higher

I'm interested as to whether you were referring to The Green Album or The Blue Album in your mentioning of =w=. Since you mentioned The Red Album already and Raditude being your other choice. Most of the time I would default to Blue, but you are way to eclectic for me.

Hmmm. I have a habit of not listening to music in album form, and I rarely purchase whole albums. With the exception of...

Spoon (While I love every single album, this is what I would number them if I *had* to choose):
1) Transference
2) Kill the Moonlight
3) Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
4) A Series of Sneaks
5) Gimme Fiction

As one reviewer noted: A bad Spoon album is still a fucking Spoon album. I'm downloading Girls Can Tell right now, and I have yet to give Telephono / Soft Effects a listen.
