I use FL Studio 9, an audio creation program. I was wondering if anyone knows any good bass synths? At the moment I've been using things such as BooBass, Sytrus and Toxic Biohazard... but none of them really fit the bill. Anyone know any good ones?

It all depends on what kind of sound you're going for for, I guess. For my basses, which generally have more of a rock-type sound than techno or anything like that, I usually combine some sort of regular synth (a couple I like are polyIblit and ASynth) with distortion and a low-pass filter (CamelCrusher, for example, can perform both of those last two roles). Adjusting the level of distortion and the filter cutoff gives you a lot of variety to play with. I don't use FL Studio, but those VST plugins I mentioned would work with FL.

Apart from that, there a couple of Tweakbench VST plugins, Monomate and Ritual, that can make some nice bass noises.

Whaddya mean Sytrus doesn't fit the bill? The point of Sytrus is that it can make basically any sound you want it to--has a bit of a learning curve, but I've used it for some of my basses (Also used: Harmless, 3osc, TS404) and it works great if you know how to work with it.

As far as basses, if you want realistic ones you're going to have to get a fancy physical modeling plugin (or work out some kind of monstrously complicated setting on Sytrus) or a sample bank. As far as Synth Basses go, just about anything will work as long as it has a few Oscillators, a filter, and envelopes for filter and amp. Distortion/Wobbling/etc you can add using effects. (Try Wasp XT for example; it's included in FL and has always served me well as a simple bass.) More complex sounds can be done in Sytrus, but you usually don't have to bother with it.

IMO everything you've got in FL studio should be enough to make whatever kind of bass you want, though the stuff maestro linked might still help. Sytrus should work great for any bass need you have, and no certain plugin that advertises itself as great for making basses can serve as a substitute for just knowing how to make stuff sound good.
