I need a million themes for maps and I need you guys to help me with them.
They can be anything, especially sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Except for those last 3 things. I'm looking for unique and interesting themes that you've thought of or seen before on an IRC map, a contest, a mapping group, on NUMA, contests from other sites, etc.
We'll start with the basics...
Enemies (themes of the enemies in N)
Map types (prisoner, puzzle, action, survival, race, etc)
magicians
death
hats
agoraphobia
sweaters
vegetables
gang violence
scuba diving
puppets
mini golf
kites
witches
races against clocks
the vietnam war
slums
chocolate
thwump riding
cross dressing
cats
just clocks
strip mines
circles
wet hair
turtles
mud
...
Add to the list!

How I love this idea, and I want to contribute and support the cause as possible, I want to make certain 'real' subjects for the mapmakers can work. I will present various themes (well explained) subdivided into two main themes.
CLASSIC THEMED THEMES
. CRISIS (no gold maps)
http://www.nmaps.net/93587
http://www.nmaps.net/209782
. SUMMER VACATION (no actives enemies, mines?)
http://www.nmaps.net/96813
http://www.nmaps.net/195306
http://www.nmaps.net/216439
. CRISIS IN THE SUMMER VACATIONS (only playable tileset, exit and of course, Ninja, designed for this)
http://www.nmaps.net/210326
http://www.nmaps.net/204075
http://www.nmaps.net/203337
the last two without any object, course. Many other good examples in NUMA.
. JEWELER (cool gold patterns)
http://www.nmaps.net/216195
http://www.nmaps.net/216802
. DOWNHILL (no jumping or downhill maps, real challenge to make one good)
http://www.nmaps.net/188531
http://www.nmaps.net/103836
. MIRROR EDGE (E/5 tile jumpers)
http://www.nmaps.net/213934
http://www.nmaps.net/206984
Many did before him, but as he does, nobody. Wizard2 has many examples.
JAPANESE THEMED THEMES . 日本語の
most creative feelings . 最も創造的な感情
. 8-BIT (8-bit maps)
Which says to you as an artist?
Do not show examples for artists/mapmakers exert their function.
https://8bc.org/
http://nintendo8.com/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8-bit
. LO-FI / HI-FI (low-fidelity / high-fidelity)
Same as above.
http://www.nmaps.net/207062 he is a rare artist.
http://www.nmaps.net/210394 another weird artist, but cool.
http://www.nmaps.net/212991 take a look at his style of mapping.
I chose these because I felt like it, but for you HI-FI / LO-FI what is it? show me!
. ADDICTED (inspired by video games)
http://www.nmaps.net/215733
http://www.nmaps.net/210679
There are many other mini games or flash games online. Which inspires you?
http://www.nitrome.com/
http://www.nekogames.com/
I like and I inspire them. A little gift, if not had some knowledge.
. YAMAKASI (playparking in playgrounds)
http://www.nmaps.net/146342
It's time to say, I have an entire column almost ready of playground/playpark maps for my episodes.
. TOKYO (industrial and futuristic tileset/mechanics, or whatever you want)
http://www.nmaps.net/193622
http://www.nmaps.net/215713
http://www.nmaps.net/214916
http://www.nmaps.net/170903
http://www.nmaps.net/210450
http://www.nmaps.net/215576
just because
. PIXEL, I LOVE PIXELS (simply pixels)
I like the pixels, you have E tiles, 5 tiles, you have multiple grids for the editor, you have gold...
You latter challenge as mapper.
. ORIGAMI (like papiroflexia)
Okay, this really is the ultimate challenge for creatives mapmaking skills.
I put much effort and much time on this post. I hope you will please everyone, and inspire you a lot.
Also expect to see some of these themes on the main page of NUMA.
Sincere greetings.
