Plagairism?

Seriously, I'm sure yungerkid just accused me of plagairism on my map when I've never actually seen the map he accused me of ripping off. -I don't actually know if he was accusing me, but it seems like it- It's based off a condog_111 tileset.

My map, Nmaps.net
Blackson's, took lots of digging, Nmaps.net
Condog's, Nmaps.net

Is it plagairism?

Firstly, I wouldn't be so sure he was accusing you of plagiarism. Assume good faith. Secondly, if you've never seen the map in question it cannot possibly be plagiarism. Thirdly, is this at all important?

plagiarism is when a person copies exactly what somebody else has done and calls it their own..
They aren't exactly the same, but they do have the same style... so what.

I believe you've misinterpreted what he said. Borrowing an idea from another map isn't plagiarism either. All authors have done so at some point in their careers.

It's a popular style to do that slant tiles like that. And the closest you could get to plagiarism, is being inspired by a map you once saw.
I'd say it's the farthest thing from plagiarism.

If you've truly never seen Blackson's map, then you already know it's not plagiarism.

If you had, then I'd say the concept and execution are pretty much a rip-off.

No need for the thread, you already know the answer.
