-broken featured maps queue
-broken thumbs
-outdated moderating powers
-outdated user-interface

---

i pretty much quit NUMA due to the lack of administration. The /administrator/ has not given a shit for this site in like 4 years.

---

I advocate new ownership of the site. I'm done with this stagnating thing..

change ftw

i agree. ignoring these problems has been losing you members (including me) so i'd appreciate it if we got some work done on that one major makeover we were gonna do on numa. right now it's dead. ressurect it.

Sure, these are legitimate concerns for a lot of the members. But for me at least, they are by no means problems so unbearable that I feel the need to leave. In fact, I hardly notice them, really. The broken thumbnail rendering actually has me playing more maps to see what they look like. ^_^

But the point I am posting to make is, please, don't leave. If you want these problems solved, leaving is the absolute worst move to make.

In this situation, supply will only rise to meet demand.

Hear, hear! And get the hell off Arachnid's case. He's got a job and a family for crying out loud. We're the least of his worries.

Also, I'm quitting college in order to learn how to make websites so I can try to take over Arachnid's position (among other reasons). If that's not dedication, then I dunno what is.

Valid points from all :)

I'm not leaving. I've decided to distract myself with a mappack.

Good luck, arachnid is not perceptive to outside improvement or recreation of numa. I wouldn't expect any changes within the year amigos.

Huh? I don't like how most of you came to power but does Sept actually do stuff?

sept has actually saved the community several times in the past. I could probably find it somewhere in my IRC logs, but I'm too lazy. I can vouch for that bro.

Well, no. Not when the thumbnails aren't being generated for maps.

Considering exactly who's left, I don't see this disrepair thing as a problem.

As the long as the enormous archive of maps remains there (sans member deletion) it is certainly still a functional website to me. The voting is just a statistic.

your argument seems to be this: "oh don't worry, since numa seems to be barely functioning, we can all just ignore the problems and deal with it. radium is just bitching about nothing."

also, i don't get why we're constantly going through new moderaters every few months, like it's actually doing any good. maybe we should stop promoting people based on how long they've been in the community/how popular they are and start focusing on the main problems numa has, e.g. broken thumbnails?

It really doesn't. His argument boils down to, "numa is still a useful tool whilst it retains its core functionality, that of a map archive".
Mustardude wrote:maybe we should stop promoting people based on how long they've been in the community/how popular they are and start focusing on the main problems numa has, e.g. broken thumbnails?
And how does (presumably*) replacing inactive moderators/administrators with active members of the community affect the fixing of the oh so terrible lack of thumbnails? The two are completely unrelated.

*i'm assuming this is what happens, I don't pay too much attention to what goes on behind the scenes here.

this has been said around irc a lot, but Arachnid is the only person who knows how to fix them and he's gone from NUMA.

NUMA is just fine. Well, the only thing that I don't like about it is the search bar. I can't find anything with that thing.

I must say I'm getting a little tired of the broken thumbs. Kinda thought that would get fixed in a few weeks like most of the little problems do. But like Gdubs said, the archive's still there.

<~blue_tetris> First off, making a game and calling it the sequel to Tetris is like making "Butter 2: Revenge of Butter".
