Geez. Where I live in Australia, Nmaps is blocked under 'gaming', and if we bring flash games to school that have blood/violence in them, we get in trouble. It's to friggin strict.
Although, when NUMA is linked as
http://numa-notdot-net.appspot.com, it isn't blocked, and I can use it. You could perhaps try this link instead to get passed your little school protection scheme.

My high school blocked NUMA a couple months before I graduated. Didn't try to work around it out of laziness/goody-goody-ness, but I'm sure it can be done. NUMA doesn't change all that much in a school day, though. Can't you wait until you get home?

Consider yourself lucky. Last.fm and gmail are blocked at my high school.

A summary of my school's filters:
- Nmaps.net is blocked due to "Games"
- Facebook is blocked due to "Online Communities" (though this is kind of obvious)
- playlist.com is blocked due to "Online Communities" (actually this one is weird)
- Ustream just got blocked this year due to "Online Communities" as well, since so many people were on it in class
- This forum is UNblocked, as well as the old forum
- YouTube and Twitter are UNblocked
- Most email services are UNblocked except for obscure ones
- Responding to flag, Last.fm is UNblocked because we have classes that use it
Daikenki, clearly you live in the wrong county. Try Harford. Although Rockville did seem like a nice place when I was there.
