so my total amount of ratings went from around 2300 to around 2500 in a day. Someone actually went through my entire archive and zero'd every single map.

I find it VERY intriguing that a human would have that much time on there hands, and that much motivation.

Some people in this world shock me.

How do you know they zero'd them?

Heh, I've had that happen to me several times in the past. Usually they give up after 100 maps or so though.
I'd be happy, an extra 200 ratings in one day is pretty nice!

Heh, perhaps if you weren't such a jerk sometimes this stuff wouldn't happen to you. ;)

Did you just like, declare yourself so significant an author that you are a likely target for sniping? And then decide that a fairly common event was so significant, because it happened to you, and thus deserving general announcement? There's no way you couldn't know that they were snipes.

Goddamn.

Who cares about map ratings, they're not accurate because of these situations.

I'm not here to be a fucking saint.

I know they were snipes because my ratings graph shifted from 4-5 to 3-4 in one day. Haha the "lump" shifted over. (Plus all my maps with 1 or two rates are now 3 star)

@ Squibbles

I don't get you man. This a forum. Are you suggesting I don't have a right to announce what happened to me? Something "fairly" significant. I don't expect sympathy, I just wanted to let the forums know that there are STILL people out there who do that.

No, but you often conduct yourself with an arrogance and superior-than-thou attitude that will no doubt inspire this kind of shit. Dude, I'm not lecturing you, merely pointing out the obvious

Do what you want, just don't whine about it when your attitude creates inevitable backlash.

The person who did that - I think that's very motivative. :D

that's somewhat true but it simply isn't that black and white. (also, look who's talking :P)

there is a fine line between whining and stating something that happened in a public forum.

987654321, some people like rating, like me. It helps give me a better idea of what people think of my map, even if their to lazy to tell me what they think in a comment. I see where you're coming from but I disagree.

I don't think it /is/ that significant, though. It's happening to quite a few people at the moment, yet nobody else has made a topic. Granted, I don't believe it has happened to this magnetude to another, but it is occuring.

It just looked like you were trying to sympathy fish. :/

I don't think it looks like he was trying to sympathy fish at all. If someone did in fact go through sniping 200 of his maps, the topic is well worthy not because it needs to be brought to the attention of the public but because it's somewhat hilarious.

Everything atob said is right, anyway.

Radium, if this is a problem for you, talk to an administrator -- though they likely won't do anything. Don't post a topic on the forums; you're doing exactly what the sniper[ess] wanted.

Are we done here? I think we're done here.

Not really. I'm not arrogant, I don't believe I'm greater than anyone here. The stuff you'd call me on is mostly me poking with a stick for fun and being amused at how serious people get about it. I do sometimes get carried away in the heat of a debate, and it's a weakness I'll admit, but it's never personal.

You, however, seem to enjoy upsetting people for kicks and prance about like you're the bees knees. I'm not saying you're a dick, just that you seem to revel in being a dick sometimes so the retaliation was most likely justified.
