I maked an uberest mistake

For some reason I spelled 'multiplier' wrong in the title my 1,500th map... However NUMA won't let me edit this, as if I do it cuts off the last few characters.
Could an admin please edit the name to fix the typo? Thanks!

I messed up your map title unfortunately.
I'm surprised. You found a small bug in NUMA apparently. You aren't allowed more than 40 characters in your map title but you obviously have well over 40. When you go to edit the map name it reverts back to its 40-character limit for some reason, so when you try to edit the title it will let you delete characters already present but won't allow you to add any more characters.

Title-length limits may be one thing I will agree with you that is stupid about NEWMA. Sorry, bud, looks like you're just going to have to remove "Multipler" from your map title now. :(

It was changed to 60 a while ago. When you create maps you can give them 60 character titles, but when you edit you're only allowed 40 >_<

I noticed this a while ago, and assumed I was just being dumb, whereas amlt went and made a thread about it. This is the fundamental difference between the two of us.

I noticed this some time ago, yeah, and brought it up, and was told nothing could be done.

Why the hell is the character limit at a mere 60? What is this, the 1980's? Is it too much to load >60 character titles over our 100 baud modems in our teletype machines that nonetheless have Flash 10?
I understand the need to cap title lengths in case someone gets obnoxious, but 60? Come on.

I'd assume it's to protect the idiots who are gonna paste their map data as the title, but I get what you mean. 100 char. is better.

I liked when there was a limit, but you could work around it through post-submission editing. That way it required some knowledge and competence to access, preventing NARUTO666 or whoever from abusing it.

=DDD Where'd he go?

I think we should revert it to that.
