This time next Sunday, if any inactive (no review in more than a month) reviewer hasn't posted in this thread requesting to retain their position and maintain that by submitting 2-3 reviews a month, they will be removed from the list.

I've a back log of applicants who seem very enthusiastic about the position ready to replace if need be.

Thanks.

Current active reviewers/Reviewers requesting their position as of 28/12:

Pheidippides
gloomp
Radium
lord_day
GTM
Manus Australis
toasters
epigone
tinkers7777
incluye
Riobe
turtles

All others will now be removed. Should removed reviewers want their position back, please pm me and we'll discuss it.

It's been a month since my last review already? Time flies. o,o

I'd like to keep my position. I need to play more NUMA maps, anyway, so this 2-3 reviews/month should give me a push in the right direction.

I don't know if it's been more than a month, but if it has, I would like to keep my position. I love being a reviewer, but I only write reviews when the mood strikes. I shall try to write them up more often, however. Thank you for the warning.

Well, I removed myself from the roster for that same reason glomp. It's difficult to force yourself to find a map you thinks worthy of review, but with the current situation (the broken queue), we're going days between features.

It's also difficult to strike a balance between quality and quantity, but I'm pretty sure we could put an active team together who could manage a keep the features ticking over on a daily basis while keeping the quality to a standard.

Maybe instead of a reviewer you could be a manager, someone who keeps the reviews flowing smoothly and makes sure everyone is doing quality work. I guess that's what you're doing now anyway, but maybe you could just make it official. *shrugs*

I don't really need a badge to tell you all that I'm the one who's been managing this thing since the queue broke, do I?

The 'temporary solution..' thread is really all I can do, and why should it be down to me entirely? If you want this thing to work well it's your responsibility too.

Oh, no, finding maps isn't a big problem for me. The problem is, I write my reviews spontaneously, so with the queue broken, doing it that way could push maps off prematurely and mess everything up. However, I think I know how to alleviate this problem, so it's no longer an issue. Again, I would like to remain a reviewer.

Oh, and it's gloomp. Two o's. ;)

I have one ready. I'm just really confused about the whole proccess. Maybe I'll look at the temporary solution thread again.
Also, what happened to the two other reviews I sent you, atob?

Every time I review a map I get flamed for it.
I also got told off for posting a map which "abused the broken review queue". I appologise if not liking a forum, thus not knowing anything about a broken review queue is such a reason to get flamed.
I gave up...

That's when newMA went live and reviews started.

That's exactly why I quit too.

Write two example reviews of NUMA maps and send them to [email protected].

This probably will be done along with the big fix for NUMA's problems.

If you've received no reply to applications, it means you weren't successful. If I'm holding you in reserve, I'll let you know.

Till Sunday then, Gentlemen.

I'd love to stay a reviewer, but I find it hard to just go out and find a map that I truly love. Maybe if I find one I can keep my spot. If not, hopefully my successor can.

Should I just PM you?

If you're already a reviewer, or will be given the position, be sure to check out THIS THREAD. It details what you must do to review a map. If you already have the reviews written out then you just wait for the day that you are selected to make your review and then copy/paste into the text box. It's that easy.

I don't think you had a choice, considering you broke it :P

Considering the giant announcement on the front page of NUMA (which you seem to try to visit at least once a day), I'm surprised you didn't see that the queue was both A) broken, and B) there was a temporary solution thread. Maybe you just saw the word "forum" and ran away quickly. Who knows...

I know. I think Radium is trying to blame me for featuring The Middle Road. oh well.

atob is doing a good job with maintenance of the whole thing and that is what really matters. Hopefully the queue will be fixed at a time that is convenient for Arachnid to work on NUMA.

With my screen size, all I see on the homepage is the newest Featured map and the advert. I never bother to scroll down as Numa rarely has a news update...
Also, since the homepage broke a while back, I've been using nmaps.net/browse instead of just nmaps.net, meaning I don't see the announcements anyway.

If you can't be bothered to make the effort to check the news section then you certainly shouldn't be on the NUMA staff.

Is there a "maximum" amount for the number of NUMA reviewers? There are currently twenty-two, and if atob made this thread, I think the amount intends to stay there. What I'm saying is if so many reviewers wanted to keep their jobs, new ones could still be added; this would be raising the maximum, but with the queue in the current state, the rate of submissions would be about the same.
