I'm sorry Erik. My intent is neither to persecute nor prosecute multi-accounters; it is only to catalogue, so that one day we'll be able to better manage NUMA's (or more likely, NARC's) accounts.Erik-Player wrote:yeah um i haven't touched that account in two years. now i feel like a dick, though.

That may be so, but this was inevitable. Hence why I, and I assume others, were questioning this thread.Aidiera wrote:I'm sorry Erik. Also, were that truely the reason why, there would be absolutely no reason to post multiaccounts that were known, but for whatever reason allowed to stay active. It's almost as though you're attempting to veto an administrative decision with only your own vote. If it were decided they could stay active on NUMA, there is no reason why the same shouldn't apply to NARC, and thus the only reason to post them here would be for a degree of vilification.

yeah. i understand this is something to be documented, but what's with making it public? i mean, if you needed it for narc, why not just send it to who needs it?squibbles wrote:

Because I'm a nobody. I'm just a guy who spends too much time on NUMA. None of you actually pay attention to the things I do (save for the occasional DDA) so why should I hide my hard work? Also, besides "not being a dick," the only other rule of NUMA is "don't have multiple accounts." I broke that rule once; I followed the crowd and released a mappack through NUMA. And I regret it now, because I can't use that account for anything. It's just taking up space, space which I'm not paying for or deserve. So if you think that I'm going to sit here and just let people break the rules (and I really don't care what an admin says about it), then fuck you. My next project is going to be going through NUMA and cataloguing all the missing maps. Am I going to get in trouble for that too? I hope so, because then maybe I'll get some recognition.Erik-Player wrote:yeah. i understand this is something to be documented, but what's with making it public? i mean, if you needed it for narc, why not just send it to who needs it?squibbles wrote:

You're only a nobody if you think you are. Why go through so much just to try to get recognition? There's other forums; other games, other people. And who said you shouldn't sit there and just let people break the rules? I think it's great you took the time to compile this up, I'm just not a fan that it's public.Aidiera wrote:

No. The rule is "don't use multiple accounts for rating".Aidiera wrote:Because I'm a nobody. I'm just a guy who spends too much time on NUMA. It seems pretty clear now that your motivation for this is to punish and shame the multiaccounters, but it's not necessary. They've already been punished. They've done their time.Aidiera wrote:I broke that rule once; I followed the crowd and released a mappack through NUMA. And I regret it now, because I can't use that account for anything. I dunno. That Aidiera kid is an up-and-comer. If you remove myself and the other "founders" of the community, who does more for this place now? I'm sure we could come up with a few names, but I may even go so far as to say that Aidiera is the new Blizz. Just like Yanni is the new LV and KinGAleX is the new krusch, who was the new KinGAleX. In either case, I think I know more about Aidiera than I do Lenny. And Lenny and me were fuckin' *tight*, son.Erik-Player wrote:You're only a nobody if you think you are. Honestly, Aidiera, in your neurotic need for attention or whatever, you probably do more useful things for this place now than damn near anyone else.
Also, it'd be nice if someone compile a list of the abusive maps these people made, so I can relist more of them.

Ahh... I felt that way two years ago... don't take it so seriously. Custom titles and brown names are awesome, true, but is it really that important?
Look forward to the missing map catalog (that's a lot of maps)... I still want to see the mystery of map number 29403.

The only use this seems to have is for us admins over at NARC to disable these accounts before they can be logged into and activated.
The main problem arises when you realize that these are mostly over 2 years old and it's likely whoever made these accounts forgot their password to them.
Regardless, everyone seems to have made a second account at one time or another, whether it was later on in their career or earlier. You might want to put down meadowlark as "disabled by request" because that is me.

Nphasis & I once had a collab account called "dosed". We were only able to get one map up before somebody hacked our account, and now it won't let us log in. I think that was the last straw for him. Soon after he stopped being really involved with NUMA and promptly left. If anybody knows what happened, could you please tell me what's up? Thanks.

I don't get the big deal as to why this is public. I'm on the list, since I created two accounts before iban and got caught early on. Im surprised to see that it is here/remembered but it doesn't upset me at all. I know I made that mistake, and I feel that I more than atoned for it. I never felt that aidiera was prosecuting me in any way, and do not see how it could be taken for that. It looks to me just as he says it is, a comprehensive (partial) list of disabled accounts and reasons for so.
Also my second account is labeled as "legend of Zelda guy"... I believe that the full username is "legendofzelda217" where the digits are my birthday.... just stated for more completeness ;)

I'm not quite sure where to post this but MUSLIMAN could be another multiaccounter.
Please have a look at the comments for this map:
http://www.nmaps.net/215223
Can someone make an IP check? FestivalOfSacrifice might be an account by MUSLIMAN.
Besides that, almost every single map by him is rated.
This is impossible. There were times when nobody had a rated map for over 7 hours - but he was the only one.
Another weird thing is that he posts YouTube links which include the Islam.
You can find examples if you click the link above.
This guy is 100% suspicious.
