It honest-to-god is not difficult being a reviewer. It takes fifteen minutes to write a review and ten seconds to submit it.

How about whichever reviewers want to submit reviews can do so, and whichever ones want to take a break can take a break? Why does it have to be all or nothing?

And that's what I was trying to ask Pawz on IRC, but it didn't really work out.

I see your standarts for being a reviewer. Also the standarts you review a map. Fifteen minutes?

Take a break guys. You're cool people. You deserved it.

... I understand you're quite a bizarre person by nature, but just go through the thought process. If there are people who are more than willing to still do reviews, then why do you insist that they don't? Why force this break on them? It's essentially like temporarily firing all the guys who still want the job.

The only reason I can think of to enforce this break is to avoid a situation where there are still some people reviewing, but there'll be a day or two that no one does a feature, which breaks the cohesion of the system. I don't think NUMA is official enough to worry about that. Having 10 reviews in 15 days is better than having none, surely?

Fix'd.

Okay, you guys can continue reviewing maps, like it's not the end of the world.

Heyyyy, can I get some time off in January? I'll be away on vacation for a week or so, and I thought I would just clear this up with headquarters. You know, just to make sure that they're okay with me not doing my daily job as a reviewer. They can take it out of my paycheck, it's cool.

Yeah, I'm for this. I mean, it really doesn't take much effort, like gloomp said, but damn, I do not know how much time I'll have for NUMA and you guys during the break. I think it'd be nice if a few people kept it going, but if I can get the rest of December off, I'm for it. :3

Actually, you know, if we could just get slack over December but they keep going, that'd be better.

Given all the reviewers that have said no (and the fact that there are more than enough for a week or two), I see no reason why this halt should come to be.

No. If you don't want to review, OA, don't, but if there are reviewers who still want to have a featured map up there for the rest of the community, than gladly do so, it'd be much appreciated if there's at least something.

Reviewing just means typing a few paragraphs. It's not like it takes weeks to do. I say the reviewers have a right to review if they want.

I appreciate your caring though, southpaw.

Is this a pun? Because a lot of what I say does end up in the mod queue.

Hope it's a pun. As for the rest of your post... go away.

Haha what? Since when did the reviewer staff worry about deadlines. If they all took this holiday "break", I doubt anybody would notice anyways.

Because of the "No" vote from the community as well as many Reviewers, I'm not going to enforce a break.

I will however detail some important things on Christmas Eve in a News Post, so be on the lookout! I think that what I have planned will be both interesting and fun and probably piss off a lot of complainers!

Sounds like an average day in the life of origami_alligator. ;D

I agree with most in saying that we should have featured maps during the winter break/christmas. Like some have said those who can't review won't sign up. I think that featuring during the break would actually increase views/playing by users. With people off school there will be a greater frequency on the site, so to accomidate we should have reviewed maps...so all in all I say no.

Will do this:
Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches, Merry Christmas bitches.

Or:
Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches, Happy new Year bitches.

I'm going to lock this because a lot of the recent posts have been pointless and it seems southpaw has come to a decision. Tell me if you do actually need this open though, southpaw.
