One: Stop suspecting godenAtor. I don't believe he would do something like this. I believe he is being framed.
Two: The admins can match the IPs. Check gA if they wanted.
Three: If you have a multiaccounting sniper, that is a big problem. Regardless of if you want to believe it or not, we are a bunch who only click on a map based on its ratings and aestheics. Please stop pretending ratings don't matter. They do.
Four: godenAtor wouldn't be as dumb to make an account called godenAtorwillrule. I mean that's just retarded.

I cant believe, that I was blamed for this.

Someone is looking to get me in trouble, and I don't like it.

Guys it aint me, I don't see why I was unfairly blamed for this, check the IP's between me and that godenatorwillrule bulllshit.

Do I type like that? No, I normally use correct grammar and don't normally type in allcaps, unless i'm extremely pissed off.

Which I am.

Cos I got blamed.

Unfairly.

Anybody who thinks otherwise, please ask an admin the difference between the IP's of me and them snipers.

DIFFERENT!

IPs will be checked whenever arachnid can get around to it.

Hopefully, we'll also get some IP tools and the ability to wild-card and IP ban after this, as well.

Here here!! So many people are like "ratings don't matter", "ratings are a joke", etc. etc. (The thing is, this is typically seen from popular, established members of the community. -_-) But the unfortunate truth is that they do matter. I know this probably has been expressed by many people in the few years of this forum's operation, but I still feel like chiming in every time someone comes out and says it.
KinGAleX wrote:We who have been through this before get over it and move on. Yes, people will find some way within any system to screw it up for those who treat it responsibly, and we who do just have to live with that. I realise you find this frustrating and some of you want to write long rational statements and accusations about why sniping is 'wrong', but it never solves anything.
How is that a good solution? If people try to come in and mess things up, administrators/moderators don't just shrug and say "oh well", they remove the offending user, particularly so in this case (since it's spam sniping instead of author-specific sniping).

As long as ratings are still present at Nmaps.net, they matter enough to keep them there. I mean, if they really didn't matter to people, then they'd have been removed. The topic came up time and time again, and people decided they wanted to keep them.

Ratings aren't the end-all, though. They're just one component of the system. Comments are more useful. Ratings are "cheatable" from time to time. Comments cannot be.

While arachnid is sorting out the current ratings scam, remember that ratings are as important as you make them and they work as well as everyone else wants them to work. It's a fragile system, because it has to be. Expect that the ratings might not always indicate what you think they should.

It is -hilarious- how seriously this is being taken. God, I miss the good old days, when complaints like these were ignored. When people like Jiggerjaw would turn to the forums, screaming, "OMG, IM GETING SMIPED," and the rest of the community would request nevermore lock the topic. Now we're all a bunch of raving Jiggerjaws. What has happened to the world?

I'm with you Jig. Frankly, I'm getting sick of all the attention this topic is getting. This isn't even that bad of a sniping scandal compared to some we've had in the past. I hope this gets sorted out soon so we can go on with our mundane lives.
I'm waiting on standby to lock this thread if anyone requests it - I'd have locked it already if we didn't abide by the general rule of letting things die naturally.
