You've been commentified!
Find an active mapper, and comment (with constructive criticism) on several of his/her maps. You cannot commentify the person who just commentified you. Rating is optional.
Then copy and paste this message onto one of their maps. Thanks for participating to make NUMA a more exciting place!
Okay, guys. This is not mandatory, as some of you seemed to conclude. This is just an idea I had to brighten people's day. You don't even have to do 10 maps. You can do 5 maps or whatever is easiest for you. I realize many people don't actually frequent NUMA and use userlevels a lot, but also, many of you comment on 20+ maps, I'm sure, in a day, easy. All I'm saying is you should consider consolidating some of the maps you play to one author, and leave helpful comments. This shouldn't be viewed as a job, this is a game. Literally. Key word is "playing" people's maps. Thank you.

Ten's a little... well, a lot too much. Try 5. Then maybe I'll do this.

I just did 11 mahi maps. and it's not like this is a hard task. I'm trying to get people to play the game.
if you think playing 10 maps is hard, keyword "playing," then maybe N isn't the game for you. I mean, I just had fun with it. And all I had to do afterward was write a couple sentences summarizing my opinion of the playing experience. I really don't think playing 10 maps should be hard for anyone who enjoys playing N.
This not only shouldn't be hard for the players, it's fun for the people who get to see "10 maps with unread comments" when they log on.

the majority of N players will play over 10 maps a day. Why not play at least 10 maps by the same author? I recall in administrong, there was a competition where people had to comment 120 maps. Many people there said that it was easy and they did it in a few days. Why not brighten someone's day by commenting a measly 10 maps by them?
Edit: rhekatou, userlevels is a good point to bring up. Editing the main post now, to clarify the UN-MANDATORIALITY of this idea.

And eganic, stop being a douchbag :\
If you're going to insult someone's idea, at least put more than "no".

I do this every once in a while. Feel no need to copy and paste a quote from someone else which doesn't even make sense when I do it though. I went to all that effort why should I make it look like it was someone else's idea. This is basically a glorified map commenting thread for people with lots of time. On a more positive note though it is a very nice feeling though when you log on and see '10 maps with unread comments' so continue doing it if it makes you happy :)

Chume, you missed the purpose of the message at the top. That's so that the person you commentified will go and do it to someone new. This way the love gets spread around. :D
also, no duh this isn't the first time this has been done. What I'm proposing is an organized way of spreading it so that it occurs often and to different people. Also, you all seem to think this is a huge application of time. I have no idea why, because you probably comment on more maps than this in a day anyway.

Are you joking? It's a nice feeling for me to have one map with unread comments.chume14 wrote: On a more positive note though it is a very nice feeling though when you log on and see '10 maps with unread comments' so continue doing it if it makes you happy :)
Basically, you should just comment on any number leaving the note.

I read that as black-breaking labor at first >_>flagmyidol wrote:Nah. The next seven generations of your family are cursed with back-breaking labor.Izzy wrote:Do we get 7 years of bad luck if we don't?
You are doomed to an eternity of no comments on your maps.
Dave will ensure this.

Don't read this. If you comment on ten maps and close your eyes and say your crush's name before each comment, they'll fall in love with you tomorrow! This works!flagmyidol wrote:Nah. All joking aside, the actual penalty is having your pots and pans strewn about by a heron (they have long necks).

Holy cow, 14 unread comments! Thanks, script! I think I will commentify someone now, maybe this weekend or whenever I find the time. ^_^
