Layers.

When you place objects, they are layered in the order that you place them. If you place gold last, then all moving enemies will pass under them. It can make an otherwise solid map look unpolished. When you've finished making a map, go back and replace all the moving enemies so that they appear on top of whatever it is they have to move past. This layering is subject to personal taste (I prefer bounceblocks to be on the top layer, above enemies), but please at least cover your gold.

It depends on what you are meant to see.
For example, mines should be under bounce blocks for added difficulty on hard levels.

It doesn't add difficulty as much as it does dickishness.
