I generally spend about and hour and a half. 30 mins for tiles, 45 mins for object placement, 15 mins for playtesting.

The longest time I have ever spent is about 3.5 hours.

The shortest time I've spent is about 15 mins.

I never spend more than 20 minutes. More minutes won't fit my busy plan. Besides I get bored after 20 minutes.

Same as atob, although I rarely do ten-minute maps or maps that take several weeks. The average is usually a few hours over the course of 1-3 days.

Generally 1 - 2 hours. That's why I don't map as much as I'd like to.

My quickest map was a 60-second map I did a while ago, and I've gone from there all the way up to three years working on the same map or versions thereof.

Seriously, you're spitting out 1-2 a day. Do you go to school?

The majority of my maps have taken around twenty minutes to an hour to make, sometimes over a couple of days. It really depends if my mind is bleeding creativity or not, which it isn't, most of the time.

My DDAs took me a couple of hours each to make. They're the longest times I've ever spent on my maps.

An hour or so, but its never a single map, its a map that changes into other maps, and eventually I stop changing the map and call it finished.

since i mostly make simple challenges it takes only a few minutes to put the map together, but it takes hours of time playing around with random objects and tiles to see what kind of cool tricks you can do with them. and then it takes a few more hours to get the distances just right to push the limits of those tricks. then i usually have a few people play test the map. so from beginning to end it could take anywhere from 1-5hours of messing around.

Yeah, atm its half term, so I usually have enough time to make two maps in a day. Just one per day on schooldays; I probably overestimated the time it took me to make maps anyway, 2 hours is more likely the total.

I spend about 5 minutes on my maps.
I work pretty hard on it for about a minute, then I get kinda lazy and sloppy and they never turn out real good.

Usually an hour, but I try not to go over an hour and a half or so because by then I've tweaked the map so much it playing feels like wearing badly-patched pants (so to speak).

depends on the complexity. a short, minimal action, maybe 20-30 min. a huge complex bitch of a map? maybe 4 hours tops, if i cant sleep.
as blackson said: as long as it takes.

Between about half an hour and an hour and a half. I've had maps half-made that have sat there for months, but I don't think that really counts. Actually working on the map doesn't take too long.
