Depends entirely on use, but I've seen the slanted version (About 30 degrees left or right) used very effectively.

Hahahaha, I was thinking the exact same thing as I read the first post.

Dude, all types of gold patterns can be effective. It just depends on the map.

It's not particularly unique, but if combined with the right tiles and objects it looks alright.

It really just depends on the map.

I have used this pattern before.

so it's cool, I guess.

Every gold pattern has it's uses. But personally, I don't like it.

As long as it looks right to you, then it's a good gold pattern.
