I take from 5 mins (bad map) to 3 hours (good map).
My longest time on 1 map was 3 weeks!!
How much time do you spend on maps?

>-< This makes me feel bad... I usually spend, collectively, five to ten hours on a map that I actually submit, and about an hour on maps I scrap in the end. I do get a lot of ideas for maps, but sadly as with many things translating them from ideas to actual maps there's some... static, you could say, in the move. I try to make around five or six maps a week, and only one I'm ever satisfied with if that many. So far only two maps I've submitted took me less than four hours to make, and those are my latest two.

Good thing I don't see signatures.

On average, 15-60 minutes with the play testing and all that. Occasionally, I will have a well developed idea and maybe finish the map in less than 10 minutes. Sometimes, on my more complicated maps (i.e. FGI and Finale Booster) I will spend maybe 4-5 hours or even more (collectively hours, not consistent). I tend to save my maps often in a notepad file, but sadly, I have a habit of never saving any DDA's. That is why I cannot make a full space DDA. I usually stick to small DDAs (my Wonderland series) so if I delete something, it's small so it can't be that bad.
Lightning is power, you know, the thing that powers the machine you're on.

I spend about half an hour actually building the map, more if it needs some complex drone pathing or something, but I create the concept in my head for sometimes days previous to the actual opening of NEd. Many a chemistry class is spent visualising an N map. Of course, most of mine end up scrapped anyways, but sometimes I'll have a flurry of ideas that work well and end up submitting two or three in a day. Then I go for weeks without submitting, just letting some ideas stew.
