Mac Ned Troubleshooting

Not sure if this is in the right place, apologies if it isn't, or if there's already a topic about it!

Okay, so my problem is that I'm on a Macbook Pro, and I'm also on N's editor. However, I can't get onto the object editor. It tells me to use 'insert' or 'num pad 0' to get to it, but I'm on a laptop, so there's not Numpad 0, and I'm on mac so there's no insert key. I've tried looking online, it says to use 'fn' + 'return', but that's not working for me. Anyone have any ideas?
