It's a simple question. Give us your setup, are you sitting up, laying down, playing fast, slow, using both hands (for our shift key jumpers), but most importantly, are you pulling out before you finish playing N?
The best time I've ever played N was in the hot tub with my ex. She was screaming with pleasure, right? And I'm just sitting there while she did all the work, collecting every piece of gold. She really knew how to work a ninja.

On my desk, with an extra keyboard, on my laptop, while I'm on #n-highscores.

The way I play is just use the gambler strategy: one thing that works, again and again until I have to do something else or I get bored. Or I can't beat it after 100 tries.

You Have Achieved Transcendence - Beat a column while you beat your column. Finish it before you finish yourself.Brttrx wrote:It's a simple question. I usually just try to make my runs look cool. Deaths and speed are not factors. :3

Fast and Furios, with a lot of clever improv, and some scoping out at the beginning. Doesn't take long for me to find a good route.
Also, I use my fingers on my laptop.

I should add that I have recently discovered the joy of playing N with a couple of people at the same time. Very fun.

I find N relaxing, so I am no speedrunner; I just do whatever it takes to complete/AGD a level, and not worry about speed or coolness or other stuff like that.

I sit at my table in my room with my laptop on it and I use shift(usually left shift) and I generally explore for the first few tries and then take shortcuts and either highscore or speedrun or just AGD it relatively fast. I rarely play slowly. Even when I'm playtesting my own maps. Which is why i make mostly hard maps.
Lately however, I don't even always play N; I'll just watch other people's demos sometimes XD
