Okay, Slick, I made a guide just for you. Saw some potential in that Cloud sig, so here it is.

The blur which outlines the car is too much, distracting. Keep it low. Other than that, it looks cool, a mix of colours.

T3 made some pretty good fixes there, but if you use gradient maps, try not to have them at 100% opacity, it can ruin your sig (unless you wanted it that way).
Anyway, here's a tutorial that I found a while ago that is sure to teach you some of the basics and help you improve. (it's a bit wordy though.)

Yeah. I said mine were at 60%, because at 100, you completely lose your original coloring. It's usually dependent on what theme you're going for.
Also, that guide that Izzy just linked is a must-read.

I don't see how getting CS5 correlates with the lowered use of brushes, but sure. o_o

Right, but your brushes are probably still around or else you could just redownload them but yeah, I with Techno. o_o
Also, colour choice is getting better but could still use some work. Keep in mind the color wheel from the signature tutorial that Izzy posted earlier in this thread. It's nice to have simple colour schemes but at least keep them interesting. So far it seems like you're falling toward black because you want to play it safe. Explore your boundaries. Check out the filters and the Image > Adjustments > Levels // Brightness/Contrast // Hue/Saturation // Curves... / Exposure... / Posterize... / etc.
There are so many things just in that one menu alone that can change the look of your signature to exactly how you want it. Don't be afraid to make something shitty. Often times you make shitty things and learn about a new technique or way of doing something that leads to a better image later on. Most of the self-taught guys here (and I think almost all of us are self-taught) can attest to the fact that we didn't start out making amazing signatures and more often than not we made awful sigs but discovered great techniques that we're all still using today.

Practice makes perfect and some of us here have been making sigs and images for several years. We all still make bad sigs from time to time.
