I surprised my art teacher like you wouldn't believe when i showed her this.
oh and I didn't draw this from my pure imagination. I was looking at a print out. Still, considering i usually draw stick figures and weird doodles that have no graphical significance, this is a huge leep.
I'm damn proud of this.
And yes, the shading sorta rubbed off while in my sketch book.

That's pretty awesome. Maybe try adding your own creative flair to it?

The jaw looks a little unrealistic, but otherwise, its quite good.

Actually, it's a good thing some of the shading rubbed off in your notebook. When drawing with pencil it's good to rub around the graphite with the shading, to make it look more smooth and overall much more natural. Plus, it's easier to get more perfect shading if you smudge it around while drawing it, preferably with your finger.
This looks great though. I'd hope to see more drawings like this from you.

Thanks.
Yeah, some of the proportions are quite off, and others aren't as realistic, but I'll try to do better with it. Still, I am quite proud of it.
My own creative flair, huh? I'll try.

Thank you. :)
If you look close to the right of the skull, you can see real smooth shading where my teacher let me test what they call a "smudge stump." A stick that, well, smudges.

Nice work! I personally like the smudges, like southpaw said, more natural, as well as more known in artistic processes. Although I smudge with a tissue, I like that affect much better, as the oils on your finger can sometimes ruin your piece of work. Where as a tissue can allow you to vary between the depth and the texture depending on how hard you push. I'd know, cause I spent oh so long on a project just smudging.
I really like that, and I admit it, I envy that skull.
