Hey guys!
Oh wow... back to 0 posts and a crappy theme on this forum!
Oh well. Anyway. My first new post here was to let you guys all know that Baffle! inc. has completed redesign stage, and is live! I'm still tweaking it a little (Stupid IE and Opera...), but it's pretty much done. Don't tell the facebook guys, I don't wanna be sued yet!
I'm also looking for people with design talent to hire and upload community articles. Which means you'd scour some top design sites for their content, and then I'd pay you $1 per upload. It's a small form, that requires:
Link title
Link URL
Link Description
Total $20 USD to anybody who's interested. Applicants will be picked at my discretion, and probably a max of 3 or 4.

Man, what an effort. I’m waiting for the lawsuit from Facebook to come through… But until then, AWESOME STUFF! After about a week’s staying up till all hours of the morning, 2L of Coke, many frustrating moments and only about 5 images (awesome!), it’s finally done. Facebook was obviously my inspiration, but I think it’s still kinda unique in layout and content.
This new layout is pretty dynamic… very busy too. That may become a problem. But the content is there. Finally I have a load of content. This new layout forces me to keep my RSS feed active too… With the project square in the top right I am forced to add (well my mind will force me to) a new article every time I write one… Which is fantastic, because it keeps the RSS churning.
Their News submissions will be up and running ASAP so that my friends can upload short posts for me, which is also great. No doubt I’ll enroll some friends and pay them a small fee for each link. But for now, that’s pretty handy hey!
Another cool feature is the LifeStream! FriendFeed is kinda cool. It’s a pain I can’t include my Facebook feed, but my Flickr, Digg and Twitter updates are all centralised. On the note of Twitter, considering I’ve started using it I have included my Twitter updates in the footer.
FriendFeed used custom API code from their website. The cool thing about this, is that I realised I can outsource (freely) some other services. My contact form (which was always a pain to find a decent plugin) is now a Wufoo form. I can track all the form submissions, get reports on it etc. The twitter footer is their custom code too. Finally, BuySellAds are powering the ads in the sidebar (not that anybody’d buy them anyway…).
The single page is also highly dynamic. It allows for content to be added and killed smoothly whilst still integrating into the theme. The coolest part though, however, is that (because the projects are posts) WordPress detects either a project or a regular post, and uses a different template accordingly.
Heavy use of custom fields are prominent too! All the images you see in a post that aren’t in the actual content (small previews, etc) aren’t in the content. This makes it 100% easier to manage as the values are all in the same place.
And those are just 5 of the cool new features of the site. I’m pretty proud of it. Lets hope Facebook doesn’t mind. It’s clean, it’s robust, it’s content focused. I’m proud as hell of it. Hope you guys like it too. Please comment and tell me what you think!
But my site has pictures!
Have a sweet day guys.
