Could someone recommend to me a fairly inexpensive but still decent drawing tablet? I'm getting back in to imaging.

I was just looking into this last night. o_O
I like the Bamboo from Wacom so far. $80.

Bamboo is also what I suggest for something inexpensive. For something higher-end for professional-level stuff, I suggest pad, paper, and really good scanner.

It depnends on what you're making. For my comics, I use
Inkscape. But, that's just me.

He means the hardware, not the software.
If you're going for the Bamboo, I recommend using Amazon, as it's $20 cheaper there.
